KuCoin Futures Adjustment on SMS Notification Services

To further optimize our notification service system and enhance notification stability, KuCoin Futures will suspend SMS notification services for derivatives-related activities starting from 08:00 on June 10, 2026 (UTC). The details are as follows:
 
I. Scope of Adjustment
 
Starting from 08:00 on June 10, 2026 (UTC), KuCoin Futures will stop sending the following types of notifications via SMS:
 
  1. Futures Liquidation Warning Notices
  2. Futures Liquidation Notices
  3. Futures Auto-Deposit Margin Notices
 
These notifications will no longer be delivered via SMS. Please pay close attention to this change.
 
II. Alternative Notification Channels
 
To ensure you receive timely and comprehensive information regarding derivatives-related risks and account changes, KuCoin Futures has enabled and optimized the following notification channels:
 
  1. Email Notifications
    1. KuCoin will send Liquidation Warnings, Liquidation Notices, and Auto-Deposit Margin Notices to your linked email address.
    2. Please log in to your account, go to “Security Settings” to link and update your email address, and add KuCoin’s email address to your email whitelist to ensure you can receive emails properly.
  2. App Push Notifications
    1. Users who have installed and logged in to the KuCoin App will receive relevant notifications via app push.
    2. We recommend that you:
      • Ensure you have downloaded and installed the latest version of the KuCoin App;
      • Enable push notification permissions for the KuCoin App in your mobile device settings (go to “Settings” > “Notifications” > find the KuCoin App and enable notification alerts);
      • Enable notification options related to “Liquidation Warnings”, “Liquidation”, and “Auto-Deposit Margin Notices” in the KuCoin App under “Notification Settings”.
  3. In-app Messages
    1. All important related notices will also be sent to the in-app message center. You can log in to your account at any time to check these messages.
  4. Enable Futures Trading Notifications
    1. Go to KuCoin App > Futures > More > Preferences > Notifications and enable notifications for relevant events.
    2. Or go to KuCoin Website > Futures Trading > Settings > Alert and enable alerts for relevant events.
 
III. Impact and Risk Warning
 
  1. Starting from 08:00 on June 10, 2026 (UTC), you will no longer receive information related to Futures Liquidation Notices, risk warnings, or Auto-Deposit Margin Changes via SMS.
  2. If you do not pay close attention to email, app push notifications, or in-app messages in a timely manner, you may miss important information such as risk warnings or liquidation notices, which may increase your account risk and potential losses.
  3. To safeguard your assets and ensure a better trading experience, please complete the following before the effective date of this adjustment:
    • Link and verify your email address;
    • Check and enable app push notifications;
    • Get into the habit of logging in to the platform regularly to review in-app messages.
 
IV. Suggestions and Friendly Reminder
 
  • Users are responsible for maintaining valid notification channels on their own. Any failure to receive notifications in a timely manner due to users not checking notifications, not enabling relevant permissions, having outdated or invalid contact information, device malfunctions, or any other user-related reasons shall be at the users’ own risk, and any potential losses arising therefrom shall be borne by the users.
  • We recommend that you enable at least two notification channels (for example, email + app push) to reduce the risk of missing notifications due to abnormalities in a single channel.
  • We recommend setting appropriate leverage and risk control strategies for your futures accounts and regularly checking your margin and risk ratio.
  • If you encounter any issues with notification settings or usage, please contact us via the “Help Center” or “Online Support”. We are always here to assist you.
 
V. Notification Disclaimer
 
To the extent permitted by applicable laws, KuCoin shall not be liable for any losses arising from delayed, omitted, failed, or otherwise abnormal notifications, third-party service issues, or users’ failure to review notifications in a timely manner.
 
VI. Final Interpretation
 
This adjustment is part of KuCoin’s overall effort to improve risk control and optimize our services and will take effect from 08:00 on June 10, 2026 (UTC). KuCoin will continue to enhance its notification services to provide you with a more stable and reliable trading environment.
