Important Notice: Extension of Ampleforth (AMPL) Withdrawal Period and Post-Withdrawal Asset Handling

Dear KuCoin Users,

Further to our announcement dated 26 December 2025 regarding the delisting of Ampleforth (AMPL), KuCoin hereby provides an important update on the extended withdrawal timeline and the treatment of any remaining AMPL balances after the withdrawal service is discontinued.
 
AMPL Elastic Supply (Rebase) Mechanism
 
AMPL operates under an elastic supply (rebase) mechanism, whereby token balances are automatically adjusted on a daily basis in response to market price movements.
 
Following the delisting of AMPL, KuCoin will no longer support the technical infrastructure, on-chain interactions, or custody requirements necessary to maintain this rebase mechanism. As a result, KuCoin is unable to accurately support AMPL balances once withdrawals are closed. To protect users and maintain operational integrity, a final cut-off and settlement process is required.

All users holding AMPL are strongly advised to withdraw their tokens before the above deadline to a personal wallet or a third-party platform that continues to support the AMPL rebase protocol.
 
Failure to complete withdrawal by the deadline will result in the handling of remaining assets as outlined below.
 
Mandatory Liquidation of Remaining AMPL Balances
 
For any AMPL balances remaining on KuCoin after 29 June 2026, 09:00 UTC, KuCoin will proceed with a mandatory liquidation, subject to the following process:
 
  1. Final Snapshot: a final and definitive snapshot of all user AMPL balances will be taken at exactly 09:00 UTC on June 29, 2026.
  2. Market Liquidation: KuCoin will attempt to liquidate the remaining AMPL tokens onthe open market on a commercially reasonable efforts basis, taking into accountavailable market liquidity, execution feasibility, and prevailing market conditions.KuCoin does not guarantee that sufficient liquidity will be available on centralized ordecentralized markets at the time of liquidation, and liquidation may be delayed,partially completed, or not completed at all.
  3. Conversion to USDT: 
    - Net proceeds will be converted into USDT and credited to users' accounts inproportion to their recorded balances at the time of the snapshot.
    - The timing for any USDT crediting is not guaranteed and may be subject tooperational, technical, liquidity, or third-party constraints.
    - In circumstances where liquidation or conversion is not feasible (including but notlimited to the absence of market liquidity, trading venues, or extreme marketconditions), users acknowledge and agree that no conversion or distribution may bepossible.
  4. Pricing, Costs and Deductions
    - The conversion rate will not be determined by the market price at the snapshot time.Instead, it will be based on the average execution price, if any, achieved during theactual liquidation process.
    - Final distributions will be net of slippage, transaction costs, market impact, and reasonable administrative or operational fees incurred during the process.
    - If liquidation results in zero or negligible proceeds, users may receive no USDT distribution
Important Risk Disclosure
  1. KuCoin does not guarantee any specific exchange rate,successful liquidation of AMPL or timing or completion of any USDT distribution.
  2. Due to market volatility, protocol-specific risks, and potential liquidity constraints(including the possibility that AMPL may no longer be tradable on any centralized ordecentralized platform), the final value received may be significantly lower or zero.
  3. Users bear full responsibility for withdrawing their AMPL prior to the deadline. By holding AMPL past the cut-off, users acknowledge the inherent risks of the rebasemechanism in a restricted environment.
  4. KuCoin shall not be held liable for any losses, delays, opportunity costs, valuationdifferences, tax implications or inability to liquidate or convert AMPL to USDT arising from failure to withdraw before the cut-off deadline or market, liquidity, protocol, or operational limitations following delisting of AMPL.
Final Reminder
 
To avoid potential price uncertainty and liquidation risks, users are strongly encouraged to withdraw their AMPL holdings as soon as possible.
 
KuCoin reserves the right to amend or adjust this process where necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or operational requirements.
