How Snowball Is Settled

Snowball has different settlement scenarios depending on the product direction, subscription currency, and price movement of the underlying asset.

Bullish Snowball

For USDT-settled Bullish Snowball products, there are three settlement scenarios:

1. No Knock-In / Knock-Out

If the Observation Price never rises above the Take-Profit Price or falls below the Protection Price during the product term, the product reaches maturity and is settled normally.

Settlement Amount = Principal + Interest

2. Knock-Out Occurs

If the Observation Price exceeds the Take-Profit Price on any given day during the product term, a Knock-Out event occurs. The product will be settled according to the actual days held.

Settlement Amount = Principal + Interest calculated based on days held until Knock-Out

3. Knock-In Occurs

If the Observation Price falls below the Protection Price on any given day during the product term, a Knock-In event occurs. The final settlement amount will be calculated according to the product rules and may be affected by the price movement of the underlying asset.

For COIN-settled Bullish Snowball products, such as BTC or ETH, the normal maturity and Knock-Out scenarios are the same as above. If a Knock-In event occurs, the final settlement amount will be calculated based on the Observation Price on the Knock-In day and the Initial Price.

Bearish Snowball

For USDT-settled Bearish Snowball products, there are three settlement scenarios:

1. No Knock-In / Knock-Out

If the daily Observation Price stays within the Take-Profit Price and Protection Price during the product term, the product reaches maturity and is settled normally.

Settlement Amount = Principal + Interest

2. Knock-Out Occurs

If the Observation Price falls below the Take-Profit Price on any given day during the product term, a Knock-Out event occurs. The product will be settled according to the actual days held.

Settlement Amount = Principal + Interest calculated based on days held until Knock-Out

3. Knock-In Occurs

If the Observation Price rises above the Protection Price on any given day during the product term, a Knock-In event occurs. The final settlement amount will be calculated according to the product rules and may be affected by the price movement of the underlying asset.
