About Power Ledger:
Power Ledger is the distributed ledger for a distributed energy economy. They are a blockchain energy market provider for a suite of applications such world-leading peer-to-peer energy trading platform, that allows households to trade excess power over the existing electricity network. Power Ledger has successfully raised 34 million USD in their ICO and have attracted interest from large corporations in both Australia, including Origin Energy, one of the country’s largest, and abroad such as Tech Mahindra.
Power Ledger allows for each unit of electricity to be tracked from the point of generation to the point of consumption within the building it is generated, or when sold to other consumers, using the local electricity distribution network.
Blockchain technology couples a tracked energy transaction with a financial one, making the process of realising the value of renewable energy investments simple and secure.
Power Ledger allows renewable energy asset owners to decide who they want to sell their surplus energy to and at what price. Energy traded across the distribution network is tracked providing a secure revenue stream for DNSPs.
They have also developed a suite of apps that will add to the utility of their network. A proven track record coupled with impressive partnerships with top players in the energy distribution industry have made POWR one of the most talked about projects in the crypto world.
