What is Ping ?

PING is the first meme coin launched on x402, the internet-native payment protocol.

x402 is an open payment protocol developed by Coinbase, designed to enable instant stablecoin payments directly over HTTP, the same protocol that powers the web. It revives the previously unused HTTP 402 status code, turning it into a modern standard for digital payments. In essence, “extended 402” serves as a native payment layer for the internet. With x402, websites, APIs, and AI agents can send and receive payments instantly — without intermediaries, accounts, or complex setup.

The mechanism is straightforward and operates through standard HTTP requests and responses. When a user or AI agent requests access to a paid resource, the server responds with an HTTP 402 status containing payment details in JSON format. The user then makes a payment in USDC via an x402 facilitator such as Coinbase. The server verifies the transaction using /verify and /settle endpoints, and once confirmed, access is granted immediately
