KuCoin Will Support the Maker (MKR) Token Swap and Rebranding to Sky (SKY)
Dear KuCoin Users,
KuCoin will support the token swap of Maker (MKR) to Sky (SKY). The MKR to SKY token swap will automatically be completed for MKR holders on KuCoin.
The arrangements are as follows:
1.The deposit and withdrawal services of MKR will be closed at 03:00:00 on September 8, 2025 (UTC)
2.The trading service for MKR/USDT, MKR/BTC and MKR/ETH trading pairs will be closed at 07:00:00 on September 8, 2025 (UTC);
3. To complete the swap, KuCoin will take snapshots of users’ MKR assets at 12:00:00 on September 8, 2025 (UTC). After the snapshot, we will convert the old MKR tokens to the new SKY tokens at a ratio of 1:24,000 (1 old MKR = 24,000 new SKY);
4. Deposit and withdrawal services of SKY tokens as well as the trading service for the SKY/USDT trading pair will be opened after the swap is completed. We will notify users in a further announcement.
Please note:
1. Minimum holding for eligibility: 0.0004 MKR;
2. The snapshots will include MKR balances in Spot accounts (Funding Account + Trading Account);
3. MKR tokens that were in pending deposit or withdrawal at the time of the snapshots will not be counted towards your balance;
4. After the deposit, withdrawal, and trading services for MKR are closed, the MKR token will NO longer be supported on KuCoin. For users who deposit MKR afterward, KuCoin will NOT be able to cover users’ losses.
