Important Notice: Deposit Address Upgrade

Dear KuCoin Users,
 
To further enhance platform stability and asset security, KuCoin will perform a phased upgrade on certain deposit addresses. This upgrade will not affect your deposit operations and is designed to provide a more efficient and secure asset management experience.

Upgrade Details

  • Affected addresses: Some deposit addresses will be upgraded (addresses with deposit activity within the last 2 years will remain unaffected).
  • New deposit addresses: After the upgrade, your deposit page may generate a new deposit address. If you notice a change, please proceed with the address currently displayed on the page.
  • Legacy addresses: Old addresses will remain valid for a period of time, and deposits will be credited normally—no action is required. If legacy addresses are eventually deprecated, we will notify users in advance via an official announcement.
  • Post-upgrade notice: Once the upgrade is complete, we will issue another announcement. For optimal asset management, we recommend using the latest deposit address provided on your deposit page.
  • Support during upgrade: If you encounter any deposit-related issues, please feel free to contact our customer support team for assistance.

Upgrade Schedule

The upgrade will be implemented in batches, starting from August 13, 16:00 (UTC+8), and is expected to be completed within one month.

FAQ

  • Do I need to manually request a new address?
No. The upgrade will be automatic, and your deposit operations will not be affected.
  • Will deposits to old addresses still be credited?
Yes. Legacy addresses will remain functional for a transitional period, and deposits will be processed as usual. However, please ensure the correct address and blockchain network are selected when depositing. If legacy addresses are eventually phased out, we will notify users in advance. For long-term convenience, we recommend using the latest deposit address after the upgrade is complete.
  • How can I check if my address is new or old?
The upgrade will take approximately one month. During this period, your deposit page may display a new address. Always use the address shown on your current deposit page. Once the upgrade is finalized, we will issue an announcement for reference.
