Announcement of KuCoin API Upgrade (2026-03-23)

To further enhance the performance of KuCoin PRO-API, KuCoin will conduct a non-disruptive upgrade on March 23, 2026 at 06:00 (UTC). The upgrade is expected to last 30 minutes.

 

During the upgrade, the PRO WebSocket public channels may experience: WebSocket disconnections, Data delays, Possible data loss. Please ensure that your system has proper reconnection and fault-tolerance mechanisms in place.

 

Additionally, after the upgrade, the WebSocket frame format for JSON market data will be changed from Binary Mode to Text Mode.

 

If you are using a custom WebSocket frame parsing implementation, please make sure to update your parser to support Text Mode, to avoid any impact on data processing. 

 

In case of significant market volatility prior to the scheduled time, the upgrade may be postponed, and a separate announcement will be made accordingly.
