Announcement of KuCoin API Upgrade (2026-03-27)

To further enhance the performance of the KuCoin API, KuCoin will conduct a non-disruptive upgrade from March 27, 2026, 02:00 to March 30, 2026, 10:00 (UTC). The detailed schedule is as follows:

 

  1. March 27, 2026, 02:00 - 03:00 (UTC)

The PROAPI WebSocket private streams may experience WebSocket disconnections, data delays, or data loss.

  1. March 28, 2026, 06:00 - 07:00 (UTC)

The PROAPI + Classic WebSocket streams may experience WebSocket disconnections, data delays, or data loss.

  1. From March 28, 2026, 06:00 (UTC) to March 30, 2026, 06:00 (UTC)

During the upgrade, for the PROAPI WebSocket order push under Unified Account mode, the order push interface for some trading pairs will add a new match event. After the release is completed, order push messages for all symbols under Unified Account will include the "eT=match" field, which indicates the time when the order entered the matching engine.

  1. March 30, 2026, 09:00 - 10:00 (UTC)

The PROAPI WebSocket streams may experience WebSocket disconnections, data delays, or data loss.

 

After the upgrade, the following updates will be introduced:

  1. PRO API adds Execution-lite push, supporting both Unified Account and Classic Account; "Execution push" still only supports Classic Account. Learn more here.

  2. PRO API order push adds a new "match event" (Unified Account).

  3. The accountType parameter in asset push will be adjusted from trading to spot.

If you are still using trading, subscriptions and pushes will continue to work normally. However, it is no longer the recommended parameter, and the related usage has been removed from the documentation. Learn more here.
