// @offsetxyz is a tool that helps you protect your HL trading positions from getting wrecked by big news/events. Let's say you're holding a BTC long position on Hyperliquid, and a surprise inflation report drops, prices can crash against you instantly. Most traders just sit exposed to that risk and hope for the best. @offsetxyz fixes this by connecting your perps position to prediction markets (like @Polymarket) that pay out if a bad event happens. Think of it like insurance for your perp trades. You tell @offsetxyz your position, for example "I'm long TSLA $45k on Hyperliquid" It shows you the events that could hurt you; earnings missed, Fed decision, court ruling, China tariffs, etc. You buy cheap cover, e.g. spend ~$65 on a "Will Tesla miss earnings?" contract. If Tesla does miss, that contract pays you ~$6,800, softening the hit to your perp. Rn @offsetxyz is free to browse and I would say this is interesting; Hyperliquid (for perps) + Polymarket (for prediction markets) working together. These two ecosystems were always separate. Offset is the bridge. You're not guessing the market. You're just protecting yourself if it moves wrong. Dev: @vicpolisetty, ex. Base SWE. One-click hedging is shipping soon.
