This guy built a plugin that lets you watch ads and earn money while waiting for tasks to complete in Claude Code or similar tools. Previously, when people were using plugins to play games—like running Subway Surfers—I thought about using ads to speed up progress or complete tasks faster. But then I realized this should be handled by the model providers, so I dropped the idea. I never expected this ad-watching-to-earn model to suddenly get millions of views. Extending this further, it could also work by rewarding users with token credits for watching ads.
