In accordance with TheMarketPeriodical, zkSync is no longer being described as a single blockchain but as a network of public and private chains built on Ethereum. Alex Gluchowski, a key figure in the Ethereum ecosystem, clarified that the project is evolving to support Ethereum’s scaling and financial infrastructure goals. The update aims to correct a misconception and align zkSync with Ethereum’s security and scalability advancements. zkSync uses zero-knowledge cryptography to enhance security and reduce transaction costs, while also serving both open blockchain users and private chain adopters. Analysts note that Ethereum’s recent performance improvements, including increased transaction speeds, are partly driven by Layer 2 solutions like zkSync.
