ME AI News: According to monitoring by Beating, Igor Babuschkin, co-founder of xAI and former employee of OpenAI and Google DeepMind, has announced the founding of River AI, an AI startup developing personalized AI agents that learn from and are controlled by users to enhance human capabilities rather than replace human jobs. In addition to Igor Babuschkin, River AI’s founding team includes several former xAI employees: Vincent Stark, who led xAI’s product security until December 2025; Lily Lim, General Counsel; and brothers Ievgen Soboliev and Dmytro Soboliev, both former engineers at xAI. River AI will provide an API for third parties to build AI models, enabling continuous learning for personalized agents, and plans to expand into hardware and physical infrastructure. Since the merger of xAI and SpaceX, dozens of employees and nearly all co-founders have departed. Musk has pledged to rebuild xAI during SpaceX’s preparations for its IPO.
