The U.S. EIA strategic petroleum reserve inventory for the week ending June 5 decreased by 792.7 thousand barrels, the lowest level since August 18, 2023. Crude oil inventories fell by 722.7 thousand barrels, surpassing expectations of a -397.4 thousand barrel decline. The prior week’s crude inventory change was -797.4 thousand barrels.
