Odaily Planet Daily report: Recently, the AI training platform project team of Shenzhen Hekou College, in collaboration with Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), Shenzhen Big Data Research Institute, Huawei teams, and the Shenzhen Smart City AI computing platform, jointly tackled challenges in training large models on domestic computing power. Leveraging the Ascend 910C domestic AI computing cluster, they completed full-parameter fine-tuning of the 1.6-trillion-parameter large model DeepSeek-V4-Pro.

This initiative has accumulated valuable experience for global third-party institutions in conducting model training at this level on domestic computing platforms, and has demonstrated that domestic AI chips can support the training of world-class ultra-large parameter models. From a technical application perspective, invoking existing models for business inference and training models from scratch with full parameters belong to distinct technical stages, with clear differences in technical complexity and hardware requirements. The results of this trial indicate that domestic AI computing power is now capable of handling top-tier large model training tasks, and the associated technical approach is feasible.
