According to The Coin Republic, Coinbase Exchange went temporarily offline on October 25, 2025, for a planned system upgrade. The maintenance began at 7:00 AM PT and may last up to four hours, during which users can view accounts but cannot trade or move funds. Staking and card use were also paused. A separate maintenance affecting futures and derivatives services started at 4:00 AM PT and is expected to resume at 1:00 PM PT. Coinbase did not disclose specific details about the upgrade, but stated it aims to improve performance and security as the platform grows.
