BlockBeats report, March 5: The Base ecosystem AI agent platform, Virtuals Protocol, has launched "Base Batches 003: Robotics," a project led by Virtuals focused on advancing AI agents in robotics. Virtuals officially stated that it has been building infrastructure to enable AI agents to perform real work, make payments, and earn compounding returns through open markets. The next technological frontier is embodied AI. Robotics holds great potential, but what is currently missing is the structural integration of identity, permissions, and payments—features that enable robotic systems to scale beyond closed deployments. In the future, builders on the Base chain will be able to create robot agents, fleet operations, robot data pipelines, or robot-to-agent workflows using ACP. Applications for "Base Batches 003: Robotics" are now open; successful applicants will receive mentorship and up to $50,000 in funding, along with a pathway to the San Francisco Demo Day.
Base officially retweeted this project and stated that combining bots with autonomous agents is one of the most exciting frontiers in technology, inviting builders to join "Base Batches 003: Robotics."
