$SOL coiling at $90: trap or opportunity? 🧲

Most traders are staring at the $90 line on $SOL and doing the exact wrong thing. Setting limit orders to short the breakdown before it happens is a classic trap.

Here is how I read it. Solana is consolidating tightly between $91 and $95 after the broader market digested recent ETF outflows. Volume is drying up, which usually means a violent move is loading.

The key levels are simple. Support sits firmly at $90-$91. Resistance caps at $96-$100.

If price sweeps below $90 and quickly reclaims it, that is a classic liquidity grab. My scenario is to watch for a 15-minute close back above $91 before considering a long.

If it slices through $90 with heavy volume and stays there, the next real floor is $85. Do not catch a falling knife. Wait for the retest.

One rule I live by: never trade the first candle of a breakout. Let the market show its hand first.

Are you watching for a bounce at $90, or waiting for a deeper flush?

🚨 Circle Just Minted $500M USDC on Solana. But Where Is the Money Going? 👀

Circle minted another $500M USDC on Solana — split into two $250M transactions.

Sounds bullish for SOL, right?

Maybe.

Here's the part many people miss: a mint is not the same thing as market demand.

The bigger picture is still impressive:

💵 $500M — fresh USDC minted

🏦 $17.3B — Solana stablecoin supply ATH

🔥 $11B — USDC minted on Solana in August

👛 9.3M+ — Solana wallets holding USDC

So yes, the dollar liquidity infrastructure around Solana is getting bigger.

But here's the twist. 👀

That $500M doesn't automatically mean it entered DEXs, bought SOL, or flowed into DeFi.

Minting creates the inventory.

Deployment creates the impact.

The real signal now is where those dollars move next:

DEX liquidity? Lending? Payments? Exchanges? Or… do they simply sit there?

🧠 Key Insight: Don't watch the mint. Watch the destination.

Would you treat $500M of new USDC as bullish before seeing where it gets deployed?

🚨 **SOL Just Jumped 10%. But Is This Really a Breakout?**

$SOL pushed above **$114** after the SEC introduced its new **Innovation Exemption** for certain tokenized U.S. stocks.

The framework creates a 5-year conditional pathway for qualifying tokenized stocks to trade through permissioned AMMs and liquidity pools.

That matters for Solana.

Tokenized equities on Solana recently reached around **$684M**, showing that the network already has meaningful exposure to the tokenized-stock narrative.

But here’s the interesting part 👀

The SEC framework isn't a blanket approval for every tokenized stock product.

Qualifying tokens need to provide equivalent rights and privileges to the underlying stock.

Now look at SOL:

📊 **Resistance: $112.98**

📈 High: **$114.15**

🔻 Close: **$111.89**

SOL broke the level intraday — but failed to close above it.

That makes the **weekly close** more important than the intraday spike.

Above $112.98 → **$125.50 → $140.69**

Below → **$108.65 → $94.82**

🧠 **The real question:**

Did SOL just break resistance?

Or are we still waiting for confirmation?

🐋 HYPERLIQUID WHALES CLOSE SHORTS EN MASSE – BUYING PRESSURE SURGES!

This morning saw a wave of large-scale short covering from multiple whales on Hyperliquid, with total trading volume exceeding $117M:

📌 10:07 – Wallet 0xf822...1a closed a $SOL short worth $12.08M at $98.08

📌 10:25 – Wallet 0xf822...1a closed a $BTC short worth $56.05M at $79,793

📌 10:25 – Wallet 0x5986...d9 closed a $BTC short worth $6.12M at $76,326.3

📌 10:36 – Wallet 0xccf3...75 closed an $ETH short worth $17.02M at $2,397.05

📌 10:59 – Wallet 0x9321...5a closed a $SOL short worth $7.04M at $99.5574

📌 11:10 – Wallet 0x5986...d9 opened a $BTC short worth $7.62M at $76,294.3

📌 11:20 – Wallet 0x5986...d9 closed a $SOL long worth $6.44M at $82.6405

📌 11:28 – Wallet 0x5986...d9 closed an $ETH short worth $5.35M at $1,942.6

👉 The highlight of the session is a massive $56.05M $BTC short close – one of the largest orders seen recently, signaling a notable rise in buying pressure. $ETH and $SOL also saw a series of shorts closed, reflecting a shift in market sentiment. Notably, wallet 0x5986...d9 was extremely active with 4 consecutive orders in the session – closing a BTC short, opening a new short, taking profit on a SOL long, and now also closing an ETH short – suggesting this may be a fund or whale actively rotating capital across multiple coins.

Stay sharp and ride the wave! 🚀

🚨 **Solana Transactions Just Got 3.3× Larger. The Interesting Part Isn’t TPS.**

Solana Transaction V1 is now live on mainnet.

Maximum transaction size increased from:

**1,232 bytes → 4,096 bytes**

That’s **3.3× more room** inside a single transaction.

But this isn't a 3.3× TPS upgrade.

The real change is what developers can **fit into one transaction**.

Think:

→ Bigger ZK proofs

→ Complex multisig

→ BLS signatures

→ Privacy-focused transfers

→ More advanced institutional workflows

That extra capacity can also allow multiple steps to be bundled into **one atomic transaction**.

Instead of several transactions coordinating a complicated operation, more of it can potentially happen together.

That means fewer dependencies — and potentially fewer points of failure.

**BUT V1 DOESN’T KILL v0 + ALT. 👀**

For transactions involving very large numbers of accounts, **v0 + Address Lookup Tables** can still be more space-efficient.

So this isn't a replacement.

It's another option.

And now comes the infrastructure test.

Wallets, RPC providers and indexers need to correctly handle the new transaction format.

Because the worst failure isn't always an obvious crash.

Sometimes it’s **data that looks fine but is incomplete or wrong.**

🧠 **Bottom line**

Solana didn't simply make transactions bigger.

It expanded the design space for applications that previously had trouble fitting everything into one transaction.

Now developers have to prove the extra capacity actually matters to users.

🟣 Solana expands tokenized equities as SOL tests $102.50 – Can it break higher?

As trading activity grows to rival major venues, Solana’s tokenized equity markets are starting to attract attention.

In light of this, tokenized stocks on Solana [SOL] generated more than $200 million in volume. Surprisingly, these volumes exceed those associated with tokenized equities listed at both NASDAQ and NYSE, in excess of $100 million.

Notably, Raydium [RAY] captured about 70% of that activity, as such, representing the primary source of liquidity behind the growth. The comparison is narrower than it first appears. This is because it covers tokenized equities rather than the full stock market.

However, even with such a narrow scope, the size of the increase reflects the rapid pace of the emergence of on-chain stock trading.

🔸 Solana expands its tokenized-equity market

Against that backdrop, Solana’s tokenized-equity market is also expanding rapidly. As a result, this expansion gives traders a growing pool of assets to trade. Tokenized-equity supply reached a record $684 million last week, marking a 47% increase in just three weeks.

Increased amounts of capital are being represented through tokenized equities and ETFs as well. The expansion also comes from several issuers rather than one platform. xStocks, Ondo, Backpack Securities, Sunrise, Superstate, and Securitize have all launched stock products on Solana.

🔸 SOL tests the $102.50 barrier

Meanwhile, Solana continues trading in a wide consolidation after its sharp August rally. The current price is currently near the midpoint of this trading range at approximately $101.48.

SOL trades near $101.48 after recovering from the $97.50 area, where buyers recently stepped in. That lower boundary (purple line) provided support at each of the previous two rallies, hence remaining the key support beneath price.

Solana Drops 3% as Risk-Off Selling Hits High-Beta Crypto

Solana is once again showing why SOL tends to move harder than Bitcoin when market sentiment turns defensive.

SOL fell more than 3% in 24 hours, while Bitcoin declined by roughly 1%, as traders reduced exposure to higher-beta crypto assets amid a broader risk-off move.

The selling pressure came as rising oil prices, higher government bond yields and escalating geopolitical tensions pushed investors toward safer assets. Markets were also pricing a higher probability of a Federal Reserve rate hike, creating additional pressure on speculative assets.

Solana's reaction is important because it highlights the current hierarchy inside crypto markets.

When liquidity is abundant and risk appetite is strong, traders often move down the risk curve from Bitcoin into assets such as Ethereum and Solana. But when macro conditions deteriorate, those same positions can become the first targets for profit-taking.

That doesn't necessarily mean Solana's underlying ecosystem is weakening.

Solana continues to attract attention across DeFi, payments, tokenized assets and consumer applications. The SEC/CFTC regulatory framework released earlier this year also identified Solana among digital assets classified as digital commodities, potentially providing greater regulatory clarity for the ecosystem.

The immediate question is therefore whether SOL's decline is simply a macro-driven pullback or the beginning of a deeper trend reversal.

If Bitcoin stabilizes and liquidity expectations improve, Solana could recover quickly given its higher beta. But continued weakness in BTC would likely keep pressure on SOL.

⚡ Is SOL's latest dip a healthy reset — or the beginning of another major correction?

The Avici Solana card incident is a good reminder that in crypto, security risks do not always come from private keys or compromised wallets.

On August 29, Avici and Rain identified a vulnerability in an older Solana card contract. The issue affected 1,685 users, with around $500,900 in card balances involved.

The good news is that this was not a hack of users' self-custody wallets. Funds held directly in self-custody Solana and EVM wallets remained safe. The exposure was tied specifically to the card balance infrastructure.

And that distinction is important.

A lot of people see a headline about a crypto exploit and immediately assume the entire platform has been compromised. That is not what happened here. The problem was connected to an old contract used for card balances, not the underlying Solana network and not every wallet connected to Avici.

What makes the incident more interesting is the role of shared infrastructure.

Rain provides card infrastructure for crypto platforms, meaning a vulnerability in an older contract can potentially affect more than one application using that system. That is where the real lesson is.

Crypto companies cannot treat smart contracts as “safe enough” simply because they have been running for a long time.

Old code can become a serious liability.

The incident also shows why users need to understand the difference between holding funds in a self-custody wallet and depositing those funds into a third-party application.

When you control your own wallet, you control the private keys.

When you move funds into another protocol or card system, you are also trusting its smart contracts, permissions, upgrade mechanisms and security architecture.

That does not mean users should avoid crypto cards or on-chain financial products. It means they should understand where the actual risk sits.

According to Avici, the affected users will receive full refunds, the vulnerable infrastructure has been addressed, and no further unauthorized activity has been observed following the remediation.

That is the right response.

But the bigger question is what happens next.

Will legacy contracts be retired faster?

Will authorization systems receive deeper testing?

Will shared infrastructure providers give users and partners better visibility into security risks?

And how quickly can platforms isolate a vulnerable contract before losses spread?

These are the questions that matter beyond the roughly $500,900 involved in this incident.

Because the value of crypto security is not measured only by how much money was lost.

It is measured by how quickly a vulnerability is detected, how effectively the damage is contained, and whether the industry learns from it.

For users, the takeaway is simple:

Your self-custody wallet can be completely safe while funds inside a third-party financial product are still exposed.

That difference is becoming more important as crypto moves closer to everyday payments, cards and banking.

The Avici incident may end with users being fully refunded, but the security lesson should stay much longer.

In crypto, trust should never replace verification.

🔥 Solana’s $100 Breakout Is Here — But the Bigger Story Is Just Starting

Solana price has decisively broken above the $100 mark, extending its strongest monthly advance in years as institutional access, ETF activity and changing tokenomics converge around SOL. The breakout comes after months of resistance below the psychological level, putting the $110-$120 region firmly back on traders’ radar.

🔸 Schwab’s SOL Expansion Broadens the Institutional Access

The latest move coincides with Charles Schwab’s decision to add Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink to Schwab Crypto in the coming months. The brokerage began rolling out direct Bitcoin and Ethereum trading in May, and the planned SOL addition expands its digital-asset offering to three of the largest cryptocurrencies outside BTC and ETH.

The significance is the distribution channel: Solana is moving closer to investors who already operate within a traditional brokerage environment rather than requiring them to use a crypto-native exchange. ETF activity is providing a separate indication of institutional demand. U.S. Solana-linked products have recorded sustained inflows, while Bitwise’s BSOL staking ETF posted a record $126 million in daily trading volume on August 27, taking seven-day turnover to about $500 million.

🔸 Solana’s Supply Curve Is Becoming Part of the Investment Case

The demand-side developments are being matched by a potentially important change to $SOL’s future supply. Solana validators have been voting on SGP-0002 and SGP-0003, proposals that would accelerate disinflation and increase the amount of transaction-related fees permanently removed from circulation.

SGP-0002 would increase the annual disinflation rate from 15% to 30%, bringing Solana toward its 1.5% terminal inflation rate considerably faster and reducing projected issuance by about 18.9 million SOL over six years. SGP-0003 would introduce a resource-based fee that is burned, with estimates suggesting daily SOL burns could rise from roughly 600-800 to around 7,500-9,000 SOL under current activity levels.

🚨 SOLANA ETF VOLUME JUST HIT A NEW RECORD

Bitwise president Teddy Fusaro says $BSOL has surpassed Monday’s record, marking the highest single-day trading volume ever recorded for a Solana ETF.

Even more notable: $BSOL has now crossed $500M in total trading volume across its first 7 sessions.

That kind of early activity puts institutional demand for Solana firmly back in focus. 📈
