ETH bounced. Is the $2,200 floor real? 🧱

Everyone’s staring at the green $ETH candle today. I’m staring at what’s underneath it.

ETH is around $2,290, up roughly 2% after October knocked about 16% off it. Nice bounce. But US spot ETH funds just logged six straight days of outflows, and the most-traded options yesterday were all puts. Dip buyers are early, hedgers are nervous. That mix gets messy fast.

Here’s how I read it.

$2,300 is the first wall. A clean daily close above it, with real volume, brings $2,500 into view. Lose $2,200 and I’d expect the $2,000 area to get tested, because round numbers pull price like magnets.

Friday’s jobs report can wreck either plan. So I’m not forcing anything before it. Chasing a 2% bounce into a data release is the classic way to get chopped up, and I know the feeling.

My rule: no entry without the stop already decided. Level first, trade second.

Are you buying the $2,200 retest or waiting for the $2,300 reclaim?

ETH ETFs Bled 23 Days. Price Barely Flinched 👀

$ETH has seen money leave US spot ETFs for 23 trading days in a row. That’s the longest streak since they launched. And price is still sitting around $2,270.

That’s the part messing with my head. I expected a waterfall. Instead it just chops.

Here’s how I read it: sellers are leaving, but nobody is kicking the door down. Sentiment is in fear territory, and nervous markets can snap either way.

The $2,300 zone was the support everyone was watching. Now it’s the line ETH has to win back, with the 200-day EMA sitting right around $2,320. Below us, I’m watching the recent sweep low near $2,280, then $2,200.

My scenarios: a daily close back above $2,320 opens the road toward $2,450. Rejection under $2,300 while outflows keep printing makes $2,200 the next stop.

My rule for days like this: trade the level, not the headline. Flows tell you the mood. Price tells you the truth.

So where are you? Buying ETH dips here, or waiting for the outflow streak to break first?

ETH is bleeding quietly while BTC gets the headlines 🩸

Be honest, $ETH traders: did you buy the hack headline dip and get shaken out an hour later?

You’re in good company. More than $1.5B in leveraged positions got flushed this week after the biggest exchange hack on record, and ETH longs took a beating. It dropped over 4% on the news and sits near $2,240.

Here’s what bugs me, though. The headline isn’t the whole story. ETH is down more than 17% over 30 days, while BTC is down about 7.5%. Spot ETH ETFs saw roughly $105M in outflows on Thursday. BTC funds? A small inflow.

So here is how I read it: ETH was already the weaker chart, and the shock just made it obvious.

My scenario map. If ETH reclaims the $2,300 area and holds it, the bounce has a base to build on. If it can’t hold $2,200, the $2,000 round number starts acting like a magnet.

The rule I’m sticking to: after a liquidation flush, I wait for the first retest before sizing up. That first candle is usually emotion, not information.

Are you buying ETH on weakness here, or waiting to see $2,000 first?

ETH near $2,250: real base or dead-cat bounce? 🧐

ETH is down about 4% on the day and hovering near $2,250 after a violent overnight flush.

Two things are pulling at it. First, forced selling: more than $600M in liquidations hit the market in about an hour. Second, on-chain trackers flagged very large ETH transfers between wallets, and traders hate not knowing who might sell next. That second point is unconfirmed, so I'm treating it as noise until it's proven.

What matters for $ETH:

- $2,250 area: today's pivot. Holding it is neutral.

- $2,200: round-number support. Lose it on a close and I'd expect stops below to get hunted.

- $2,400: first real resistance if buyers return.

If ETH holds $2,250 while BTC stabilises, I'd call it a base attempt. If ETH keeps sliding while BTC holds, that's relative weakness and I'd stay out.

Rule: when one coin moves on rumours, trade the level, not the story.

Are you buying near $2,200 or waiting for a reclaim of $2,400?

⚠️ Ethereum $ETH Hoodi Testnet Delays Glamsterdam Hard Fork: What Went Wrong? ⚠️

🎬 The countdown was nearly over. Ethereum developers had a date on the calendar, testnet operators were preparing for the upgrade, and then the plan changed. Sometimes, the most important development decision is knowing when not to launch.

🔍 On October 22, the Ethereum Foundation confirmed that the Glamsterdam hard fork on the Hoodi testnet had been postponed. The October 26 activation was cancelled, and no replacement date has been announced.

🛡️ The key concern is compatibility with existing smart contracts. Developers want to investigate how EIP-8037 interacts with contracts already deployed on Ethereum's mainnet before proceeding.

⚙️ Glamsterdam is designed to improve Ethereum's execution and consensus processes, with changes including enshrined proposer-builder separation and block-level access lists. These upgrades aim to support better network efficiency and scaling.

🧩 The delay matters because gas-accounting changes can affect how existing contracts behave. Testing these interactions carefully may prevent costly compatibility problems later, although it also means developers must revise their rollout plans.

📉 For ETH holders, this is a testnet delay, not a confirmed mainnet postponement. Ethereum's mainnet activation date remains undecided, and the announcement does not require ordinary mainnet users to take action.

💡 My take: a delayed upgrade is not automatically a bearish signal. The bigger question is whether developers can resolve the compatibility concerns without compromising security or the broader scaling roadmap. Execution matters more than the calendar.

🔥 A blockchain earns trust not by upgrading quickly, but by upgrading carefully.

💬 Do you see the Glamsterdam delay as a responsible security decision or a setback for Ethereum's scaling progress?

Peter Brandt: ETH's Long-Term Breakout Level Sits at $5,000

Veteran chart analyst Peter Brandt — known for calling the 2018 BTC crash — shared his long-term technical outlook on ETH. With $ETH near $2,794, he sees $5,000 as the key long-term resistance; a confirmed breakout there could open the path toward ~$8,600. He also flagged a long-term target of $5.40 for $XRP.

$5,000 has been a psychologically significant level for ETH across past cycles, so clearing it would mark a real structural shift — but this is a multi-year, conditional target from one analyst, not a near-term price call.

Crypto Market Watch: Fed Decision & Regulatory Clarity Collide (Sept 15-17)

$BTC and $ETH are trading in a tight range this week as two major catalysts stack up back-to-back.

Macro pressure: Middle East tensions have pushed oil prices up over 11% in the past five days, and that's shifted rate expectations. Markets are now pricing in a meaningfully higher chance the Fed leans hawkish at its Sept 17 decision compared to just days ago. Higher-for-longer rates tend to cap risk-asset rallies, and crypto is no exception — this is likely why BTC/ETH have struggled to break out of recent ranges despite otherwise bullish undercurrents.

Regulatory tailwind: On the other side of the ledger, the US Senate is voting today on a revised Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, with reported White House-backed concessions boosting odds of bipartisan passage. A clean pass here would remove a chunk of institutional uncertainty and could be the spark that outweighs macro headwinds if it lands well.

Flow divergence worth watching: Spot $ETH ETFs pulled in ~$197M last week while $BTC ETFs saw ~$463M in outflows — a notable rotation signal. If that trend continues post-Fed, ETH could relatively outperform BTC even in a choppy macro backdrop.

Trading perspective: With two high-impact events landing within 48 hours of each other, volatility risk is elevated both directions. Rather than chasing a breakout pre-event, it may be safer to identify key order block/support zones on BTC and ETH and scale entries (DCA) into those zones if price retests them post-news, rather than committing size on a single level. Wait for the Fed reaction candle to settle before reading the next leg.
