ETH near $2,250: real base or dead-cat bounce? 🧐
ETH is down about 4% on the day and hovering near $2,250 after a violent overnight flush.
Two things are pulling at it. First, forced selling: more than $600M in liquidations hit the market in about an hour. Second, on-chain trackers flagged very large ETH transfers between wallets, and traders hate not knowing who might sell next. That second point is unconfirmed, so I'm treating it as noise until it's proven.
What matters for $ETH:
- $2,250 area: today's pivot. Holding it is neutral.
- $2,200: round-number support. Lose it on a close and I'd expect stops below to get hunted.
- $2,400: first real resistance if buyers return.
If ETH holds $2,250 while BTC stabilises, I'd call it a base attempt. If ETH keeps sliding while BTC holds, that's relative weakness and I'd stay out.
Rule: when one coin moves on rumours, trade the level, not the story.
Are you buying near $2,200 or waiting for a reclaim of $2,400?
