Q&A from KuCoin to Tokyo Games Token
Q: Can you give an overview of the project?
Naoki: TOKYO BEAST is the first title in the Crypto Entertainment IP Project, which aims to create a new form of experience by merging cryptocurrency and entertainment.
The game features two distinct systems: BASE and TRIALS. These allow players to enjoy both crypto asset ownership and gameplay participation as separate yet complementary experiences.
At the core of these systems is TOKYO GAMES TOKEN (TGT), a platform token. Both systems are designed to interconnect through TGT, delivering a unique entertainment experience.
This project brings together top creators who have worked on some of Japan’s most popular console and mobile games. With a large budget and development scale, TOKYO BEAST is drawing attention as a fully original Web3 project.
Q: What is the background of the team?
Naoki: The TOKYOBEAST development team is primarily made up of members who have spent over 10 years working on some of Japan’s most well-known Web2 mobile game titles.
The team now consists of over 80 developers, making it a large-scale operation.
What we are truly aiming to achieve is something that most Web3 games have struggled with — bringing Web2 gamers into the world of Web3.
We are fully committed to this mission, and we are pursuing it with no compromise in both game quality and user experience.
Q: What is the core objective of the project?
Naoki: 1. Break down the barrier between Web2 and Web3
・We eliminate entry barriers through the Proxy Model, which allows users to play without owning NFTs.
2. Establish a shared economy across AAA-quality games
・By positioning TGT as the hub token, we aim to create a circular economy where assets and users move across multiple titles.
3. Turn "Earn" into entertainment through gameplay and betting
・We offer earning experiences across all three layers: playing, watching, and owning.
Q: What is the long-term vision of the project?
Naoki: 1.Transform the TOKYO GAMES Foundation into a platform for AAA game titles
・We plan to onboard AAA titles from major Japanese game companies one by one.
2. Maximize long-term value of TGT through buybacks and profit-sharing from multiple games
・Revenue from various titles will be used to buy back TGT and distribute returns to the community.
Q: How is the token economic model designed?
Naoki: The two most important tokens in the ecosystem are the fungible token $TGT and the BEAST NFT.
◆$TGT
TGT serves as the in-game currency and governance token of TOKYO BEAST, and it is the key to acquiring the most valuable asset in the game — BEAST NFTs.
Holding TGT not only brings benefits within the currently booming TOKYO BEAST, but also provides advantages in upcoming games launched on the platform.
These benefits include mechanisms such as buybacks funded by game revenue, airdrops containing assets from new titles, and increasing demand for TGT as a platform-wide currency.
◆BEAST NFT
BEAST NFTs grant ownership and customization rights over TOKYO BEAST characters.
Copies of the NFT are generated across multiple games, allowing players to use them in competitive battles.
If the BEAST NFT you own performs well in matches, you’ll receive higher rewards.
In other words, players can earn greater profits by owning BEAST NFTs, studying the game, and customizing their BEASTs to improve performance.
This is a premium experience exclusive to NFT owners and one of the most cutting-edge features offered by TOKYO BEAST.
Some ownership benefits are yet to be revealed, so please stay tuned for future announcements.
With these two tokens at the core, the TOKYO BEAST ecosystem is designed to reward players in proportion to their understanding, participation, and contribution to the platform’s growth. The deeper you engage, the greater the potential return.
Q: Where do you believe the value of the project lies?
Naoki: 1. NFT Proxy Model
The NFT Proxy Model is a core innovation that bridges Web2 and Web3.
Unlike traditional Web3 games, TOKYO BEAST allows players to start with a Proxy BEAST (a copy of the BEAST NFT), enabling anyone to play without owning an NFT.
This removes high entry barriers like wallet setup and NFT purchases, and gives Web2 users a familiar gameplay experience.
As they become more comfortable, players can gradually explore Web3 features such as token earnings and NFT upgrades via in-game tutorials.
2. Betting × Battle
Betting increases excitement and engagement. Top players gain celebrity status, and BEAST NFT holders experience the pride of ownership, similar to racehorse owners.
This structure fosters community loyalty by creating fan groups, BEAST supporters, and specific BEAST followers—all contributing to a vibrant ecosystem.
3. AAA Game-Quality Buyback Mechanism
Most Web3 games fail to attract Web2 users due to low game quality and a lack of fiat revenue.
TOKYO BEAST offers AAA-level quality and delivers unique Web3 experiences such as betting and earning to Web2 users.
With over 1 million users pre-registered, the game’s June 9 launch is expected to draw a significant Web2 audience.
This means greater fiat revenue and stronger token buybacks, which ultimately benefit TGT holders.
Free-Ask from the KuCoin Community to Tokyo Games Token
Q: If you could fast-forward five years, what is the one thing you hope your project will be recognized for in the crypto space?
Naoki: We hope to be recognized as the Web3 game that has achieved the greatest success in mass adoption. Our development team consists of members with over 10 years of experience in Web2 game development. By leveraging that experience and expertise, we aim to guide Web2 users into the Web3 space and contribute to the growth of the industry.
Q: Will the Tokyo Game Foundation support indie game developers? If yes, how?
Naoki: In the initial phase, we plan to support primarily AAA titles from Japan.
After that, we intend to support promising indie games by utilizing the Foundation Fund (token allocation) to provide development assistance and more.
Q: How does the TGT token facilitate a unified, sustainable economy across multiple AAA titles within the Play3 Ltd. Web3 gaming platform?
Naoki: The key elements of the TGT ecosystem are as follows:
・Common Settlement Currency:
TGT will be used across all titles for gacha, breeding, and other in-game fees.
・Buybacks from In-Game Payments:
15% of fiat revenue from each title will be used to buy back TGT, returning value to token holders.
・Staking:
By staking TGT, users can earn NFTs and airdrops across multiple titles.
We will continue expanding TGT's utility to build a sustainable ecosystem.
Q: What measures are in place to ensure the long-term sustainability of TGT’s token economy, given the history of rapid inflation and bust cycles in Web3 gaming tokens, as seen with early Play-to-Earn models?
Naoki: TOKYO BEAST features multiple tokens, but the two most important assets to highlight are the BEAST NFT and the fungible token $TGT.
About BEAST NFT:
In many Web3 games, players are required to purchase NFTs or tokens before they can even begin playing.
This structure results in the need to mint a new NFT for each new user, leading to oversupply, a loss of scarcity, and ultimately, inflation.
To solve this, we developed our original "NFT Proxy Model", which allows us to scale user acquisition—especially among Web2 users—while maintaining control over NFT supply.
In TOKYO BEAST, BEAST NFTs are core assets of the game. They can be obtained by staking TGT and reaching higher tiers.
However, players don’t use the original NFTs directly. Instead, they play using proxy copies of the BEAST NFT data.
This removes common Web3 entry barriers like upfront NFT purchases or wallet setup, allowing mainstream Web2 users to start playing smoothly.
Through this model, we can grow the player base without increasing NFT supply, effectively avoiding the inflationary pitfalls seen in other Web3 projects.
Moreover, the value of a BEAST NFT is determined by how well its proxies perform in-game.
In other words, the value is not based on artificial scarcity or name recognition, but on actual performance in a live, competitive ecosystem with many active players.
This creates meaningful, utility-backed value grounded in real usage within the TOKYO BEAST ecosystem.
About TGT:
TGT serves as the in-game currency, governance token, and the key to acquiring BEAST NFTs, the most important NFTs in TOKYO BEAST.
Holding TGT not only provides benefits in the current TOKYO BEAST game, but also across future titles launched on the platform.
TGT is designed to deliver value in several ways:
・Buybacks funded by game revenue
・Airdrops including assets from upcoming titles
・Expanding utility as a core in-game currency
With these two assets—BEAST NFT and TGT—at the core, the more you engage with the game and ecosystem, the greater your potential returns.
TOKYO BEAST is built to reward those who understand and contribute to its growth.
Q: How does the TGT VIP CARD work and what are the benefits for holders?
Naoki: TGT VIP CARD is a core NFT within the TOKYO GAMES ecosystem. Holders received an initial airdrop of TGT tokens, and will also be granted whitelist spots and early access rights for NFTs of future games onboarded to the TOKYO GAMES ecosystem.
Additionally, they will have priority access to whitelist opportunities for projects collaborating with the TOKYO GAMES ecosystem.
Q: Tokyo Games Token seems positioned at the intersection of gaming, blockchain, and global events. How does TGT plan to differentiate itself from existing GameFi tokens, and what real-world utility or partnerships are being developed to bridge the gap between Web3 gaming and mainstream adoption—especially in the context of upcoming international sporting events?
Naoki: We believe there are three key points that differentiate us from other GameFi projects.
- NFT Proxy Model
The NFT Proxy Model is a core innovation that bridges Web2 and Web3.
Unlike traditional Web3 games, TOKYO BEAST allows players to start with a Proxy BEAST (a copy of the BEAST NFT), enabling anyone to play without owning an NFT.
This removes high entry barriers like wallet setup and NFT purchases, and gives Web2 users a familiar gameplay experience.
As they become more comfortable, players can gradually explore Web3 features such as token earnings and NFT upgrades via in-game tutorials.
- Betting × Battle
Betting increases excitement and engagement. Top players gain celebrity status, and BEAST NFT holders experience the pride of ownership, similar to racehorse owners.
This structure fosters community loyalty by creating fan groups, BEAST supporters, and specific BEAST followers—all contributing to a vibrant ecosystem.
- AAA Game-Quality Buyback Mechanism
Most Web3 games fail to attract Web2 users due to low game quality and a lack of fiat revenue.
TOKYO BEAST offers AAA-level quality and delivers unique Web3 experiences such as betting and earning to Web2 users.
With over 1 million users pre-registered, the game’s June 9 launch is expected to draw a significant Web2 audience.
This means greater fiat revenue and stronger token buybacks, which ultimately benefit TGT holders.
Q: What is the setting and core gameplay of TOKYO BEAST, and how does it leverage blockchain technology to enhance player experience?
Naoki: Setting:
The story is set in Tokyo in the year 2124. In this world, sentient androids known as "Replicants" have become widespread, and humanity enjoys a life of luxury and passive income as their owners.
A popular form of next-generation entertainment in this society is the "XENO-karate" tournament, where people lend out copy data of a once-popular Replicant model called "BEAST" to fight on their behalf.
How to Enjoy the Game:
There are two main ways to enjoy the game: as a player or a bettor.
・Players take on the role of Replicants and assemble teams of four androids known as BEASTs to compete in XENO-karate tournaments, aiming to become champions.
・Bettors participate as spectators, placing bets on match outcomes during the weekend XENO-karate Championships.
If their predictions are correct, they can win items that can be exchanged for in-game jewels or cryptocurrency.
This unique blend of strategic battle and outcome prediction creates a level of excitement and anticipation that can’t be found in any other game.
Whether you play as a fighter or cheer from the stands, TOKYO BEAST offers an entirely new entertainment experience.

Q: What is Tokyo Games Token's strategy to attract non-crypto users, especially traditional gaming enthusiasts, to join its Web3 gaming ecosystem?
Naoki: We aim to achieve the largest user acquisition in Web3 gaming history through three core strategies:
- Talent and Expertise:
We fully utilize the marketing know-how we've cultivated over more than a decade in Web2 gaming.
Our team has both the skills and people to execute marketing at a high level.
As proof, we’ve already surpassed 400,000 followers on X and 130,000 members on Discord, demonstrating top-tier marketing strength in the Web3 space.
- Strategic Alliances:
We've formed partnerships with large-scale platforms like Rezar and Worldcoin, each with tens of millions of users.
These are not symbolic partnerships—they involve token-based campaigns and mutual user acquisition strategies to drive significant new user inflow.
- Viral-Focused Game Design:
Our token incentive system is designed to attract users and encourage retention.
By combining this with our betting tournament format, TOKYO BEAST delivers a viral gameplay experience.
Weekly esports-style tournaments paired with high-value betting wins fuel word-of-mouth growth and drive user acquisition.
Through these strategies, we aim to lead Web2 users into the world of Web3 gaming.
Q: What role will BEAST RAWDISKs and staking rewards play in player progression and marketplace dynamics in Tokyo Beast?
Naoki: Let us explain how token staking works. By staking tokens and reaching a higher tier, users can earn unrevealed BEAST NFTs. These NFTs are then provided as in-game copy data.
The better the lent NFT performs in-game, the more token rewards are returned to the NFT holder. This reward comes from in-game purchases made by Web2 users. So, by staking tokens, users can benefit directly from Web2-generated revenue.
Q: What is the long-term vision of Tokyo Games Token (TGT), and how does it plan to stand out in the crowded GameFi space?
Naoki: 1.Transform the TOKYO GAMES Foundation into a platform for AAA game titles
・We plan to onboard AAA titles from major Japanese game companies one by one.
2. Maximize long-term value of TGT through buybacks and profit-sharing from multiple games
・Revenue from various titles will be used to buy back TGT and distribute returns to the community.
Q: Is your gaming platform applicable on mobile phone(s) or [is it] only playable on Desktop? Do you have [a] plan to make [an] android application in google play / Dapp?
Fuggi: TOKYOBEAST is available on both mobile and PC. For mobile, the game can be downloaded and played not only from the App Store and Google Play, but also directly from the official website. For PC, it can also be downloaded and played via the official website.
The official game release is scheduled for June 9, so please look forward to it!
Q: Do you have tutorial videos so we can get to know your project more clearly or do you have a YouTube channel or something? Can you share it with us?
Fuggi: You can watch our tutorial video here.
Q: Can you explain how you plan to generate income for investors who are not interested in playing the games in your blockchain game project?
Fuggi: By staking tokens and reaching a higher tier, you can receive unrevealed BEAST NFTs.
These BEAST NFTs are provided as copy data within the game. The better your lent NFTs perform in-game, the more tokens are distributed back to the NFT holders.
These rewards come from in-game purchases made by Web2 users.
Therefore, by staking tokens, you can benefit from Web2-generated revenue.
As of now, we plan to return 10–15% of Web2 revenue to token stakers.
Q: Many GameFi projects struggle to maintain long-term user engagement after the initial hype. What concrete strategies does Tokyo Games Token have in place to ensure sustainable growth and retain real users beyond speculative investors?
Naoki: The flagship title of the TOKYO GAMES FOUNDATION, TOKYO BEAST, is not only targeting Web3 users — we are actively aiming to capture a much larger audience of Web2 gamers. In fact, in-app fiat payments are expected to become a major revenue stream alongside crypto-based monetization.
Our development team consists of around 100 members, most of whom — including myself — are seasoned professionals with over a decade of experience in Web2 game development. We are fully committed to delivering high-quality game design.
TOKYO BEAST offers two distinct experiences:
• TOKYO BEAST BASE: A mode focused on Web3-native features.
• TOKYO BEAST TRIALS: A version available on the App Store and Google Play, playable for free and requiring no Web3 knowledge.
This dual-structure design allows us to seamlessly onboard traditional gamers, even if they’ve never interacted with crypto or blockchain before.
Furthermore, beyond just the concept of “earning through gameplay,” our goal is to create star players, star owners, and popular bettors, turning TOKYO BEAST into more than just a game — we want it to be a compelling entertainment experience filled with excitement, personal stories, and community-driven drama. Through this approach, we aim to grow a passionate fanbase that keeps coming back for more.
Q: What rewards are offered in weekly tournaments?
Naoki: In the tournaments, top-ranking players can earn rewards such as TGT tokens and exclusive player icons.
