The Huoxing Finance report states that on May 12, the ZK verifiable computing platform Brevis officially launched Pico Prism 2.0, with its Ethereum real-time block proof system undergoing a full-stack upgrade and now going live on the Ethereum mainnet (with a 60 million Gas limit). According to official disclosures, Pico Prism 2.0 generates proofs for an average block in approximately 6.1 seconds; 99.9% of blocks complete confirmation within the 12-second block interval. The system runs on a dual-machine hardware configuration consisting of two machines with a total of 16 RTX 5090 GPUs, with an overall cost of approximately $100,000. It is reported that, under identical test conditions, Pico Prism 2.0 achieves a computational efficiency improvement of about 5.3 times compared to its predecessor, Pico Prism 1.0. This upgrade meets the real-time proof performance targets set by the Ethereum Foundation, including average latency under 10 seconds and local hardware deployment costs controlled within $100,000. This milestone marks the practical readiness of real-time ZK proofs on Ethereum. Previously, Brevis was selected for the Ethereum Foundation’s “On-Prem Proving Initiative,” a program launching in May 2026 aimed at testing whether ZK proofs can be scaled as decentralized infrastructure without relying on a few cloud service providers—the most realistic simulation to date of actual L1 zkEVM integration.
