I. Preparing for the KuCoin Spotlight?

Step 1: Create a KuCoin Account

Before participating in the KuCoin Spotlight, you need to have a KuCoin account. If you don't have one, follow these steps:

• Visit KuCoin official website and click on "Sign Up".
• Enter your email address or phone number and create a strong password.
• Complete the email or phone number verification process.
• Log in to your KuCoin account.

Step 2: Complete KYC Verification

KuCoin requires to complete the advanced KYC verification(KYC2) to participate in Spotlight. To complete KYC verification:

• Log in to your KuCoin account and navigate to the "Account" section.

• Click on "KYC Verification" and follow the instructions to provide the necessary information and documents.

• Wait for the verification process to be completed, which may take a few days.

Step 3: Follow KuCoin Spotlight News

• Keep an eye on KuCoin's official channels, such as our website news center for updates on the new Spotlight project. 

II. Accessing the KuCoin Spotlight Page

Log in to your KuCoin account via KuCoin official website, click ‘Earn’ on top of the page, then click ‘Spotlight”

Scroll through the page to see the list of available and completed projects. 

III. Participating in the New Spotlight Project

Let’s take the SUI as an example. On the KuCoin Spotlight page, you can see the in-progress project - SUI. Click the SUI Spotlight banner to participate. 

You can see the project information and Spotlight Token Sale details on this landing page. 

Make sure you meet the 3 criteria below to proceed: 

     A. Pass KYC2 (Advanced Verification); 

     B. Check the ‘Countries Not Supported’ list to confirm that you are not from a restricted country or region; 

     C. Read and agree to the "Token Sale Agreement"

After you have read and agree to the "Token Sale Agreement", you will see this page.

IV. Frequently Asked Questions on KuCoin Spotlight Subscription

1.How can I participate? 

Please visit the announcement for the details of  the Specific Spotlight event, and for the SUI token, there will be 2 ways to participate in the SUI token sale: Hold & Gain Lottery Tickets for General Public Sale Participation and Ecosystem Contributor Whitelist only Public Sale Participation. For more details, please visit the announcement page.

• To participate in the Spotlight event, please ensure your account meets the following criteria:
• Complete KYC2 (Advanced Identification Verification) before the event begins. (Users who fail to pass KYC2 will not be eligible for the subscription to the Spotlight event.)
• Users not from the unsupported countries/areas for the token purchase
• Purchase Agreement Signed.
• After completing the steps above, make sure to click the ‘Register' button on the Spotlight page.

4. What is the meaning of Token Holdings' Net Asset Value (NAV) and why use this holding as a condition for participating in the spotlight? 

Net Asset Value (NAV) means the total amount of net holdings of all specified tokens converted into USDT in the user account which includes the master account and sub accounts. 

5.Which accounts are included in the calculation range of the Net Asset Value?

The snapshot involves the daily average USDT-denominated net assets of all accounts including Funding Account, Trading Account, Margin Account, Futures Account, Trading Bot Account, Financial Account, and Wealth Account. 

6. Does the NAV holding calculation include all tokens in the account? 

Please note that this calculation only includes the tokens specified by Spotlight for each calculation of the Net Assets Holding Value. 

7. When is the snapshot?

Kindly note that we will take random snapshots of user account net assets every hour. 

8. What is the calculation rule of the Net Asset Value? 

You may refer to our official announcements for the detailed calculation rules and you may also refer to following:  KuCoin will use the daily average USDT-denominated Net Asset Value (NAV) of one or more currencies to calculate the final number of tickets that users can receive (including Funding Account, Trading Account, Margin Account, Futures Account, Trading Bot Account, Financial Account, and Wealth Account).  

The NAV for Funding Account is calculated by using the formula "the sum of the hourly random snapshot of USDT-denominated Net Asset Value of the Funding Account/24 hours". 

The NAV for Trading Account is calculated by using the formula "the sum of the hourly random snapshot of USDT-denominated Net Asset Value of Trading Account/24 hours". 

The NAV for Margin Account is calculated by using the formula "the sum of the hourly random snapshot of USDT-denominated Net Asset Value of the Margin Account (Net Asset Value = Total asset value - Borrowed asset value - Payable interest)/24 hours". Please note that the Net Asset Value of the Margin Account may be negative in this case, and the NAV will be counted as zero. 

The NAV for Finance Account is calculated by using the formula "the sum of the hourly random snapshot of USDT-denominated Net Asset Value of Finance Account /24 hours".  

The NAV for the Futures Account is calculated by using the formula "the sum of the hourly random snapshot of USDT-denominated Net Asset Value of Futures Account /24 hours". 

The NAV for Trading Bot Account is calculated by using the formula "the sum of the hourly random snapshot of USDT-denominated Net Asset Value of Trading Bot Account/24 hours". 

The NAV for Wealth Account is calculated by using the formula "the daily random snapshot of USDT-denominated Net Asset Value of Wealth Account".
