MLCC becomes AI supply chain bottleneck

Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley report AI server MLCC demand to surge 4.3x from 2025-2030, with Murata and Taiyo Yuden raising prices 15-35% amid 20+ week lead times.

$BONK is holding an important support area after the recent pullback.

Selling pressure is slowing down, and price is trying to stabilize near the lower range.

A move back above the mid band could confirm buyers are regaining control.

Meme coins can move aggressively once volume returns, and BONK is one to watch.

The MLCC concept has been trending hotly and fiercely on Twitter lately—many are discussing the concept, while others are arguing over who is more authentic and claiming that domestic products are all low-end and inferior. Yet today, MLCC stocks on China’s A-share market collectively neared 10% daily limits 😅. Yesterday, Fenghua High-Tech refuted negative rumors and didn’t drop, and today it hit another limit up. I’m not sure whether this is due to the peculiarities of the A-share market or reflexivity. PS: Today, I continued reducing my overall stock positions—this was part of this week’s plan.

One weird 2026 AI signal: hyperscalers are normalizing equity raises to fund infra buildouts. Now the hard question is revenue per megawatt, not just GPU count. Upstream winners are getting clearer: power conversion gear, thermal retrofits, high-speed networking, and server integration.

Goldman Sachs’ June 1 edition of The 720 has one clear focus: memory chips. Goldman argues the current memory upcycle could run longer than the market expects, with shortages potentially lasting into 2028. The thesis is driven by stronger AI server demand visibility, constrained supply growth, and long-term supply agreements that lock in both volume and pricing. The key beneficiaries are Samsung Electronics (005930.KS), SK Hynix (000660.KS), and Kioxia Holdings (285A.T). Goldman maintained Buy ratings on Samsung and SK Hynix, while upgrading Kioxia from Neutral to Buy.

Boomer stocks are waking up in 2026 🔥 The market is no longer seeing them as outdated legacy names. What ties them together is obvious: Old tech names are being rebranded as AI infrastructure plays. Each one has a comeback story, but the real driver is exposure to the physical layer of AI: $NOK = Optical networking infrastructure for AI data centers + AI-native networking $BB = QNX RTOS for autonomous vehicles, robotics/Physical AI, and secure embedded systems + cybersecurity solutions $INTC = AI/data center chips, Intel Foundry services, and data center/AI segment recovery/turnaround $DELL = AI-optimized servers, storage, and integrated data center infrastructure/hardware

Today was another reminder that markets are not moving randomly. While BTC, Gold, TSLA, COIN and MSTR were bleeding, capital aggressively rotated into AI infrastructure: $NVDA $ARM $TSM $MU $DELL $CRWV $IREN This was not a broad tech rally. This was targeted institutional flow into: compute, GPUs, memory, networking, data centers and power infrastructure. Most people still think IREN is “just a Bitcoin miner”. The market is slowly repricing it as: AI power infrastructure. And that changes everything.

‼️South Korea's exports are absolutely EXPLODING: South Korea's exports rose +53.2% YoY in May to a record $87.75 billion, the largest increase since January 1984. This marks the 12th consecutive month of YoY export growth, driven almost entirely by chip sales surging +169% YoY as global AI investment by US technology firms continues to accelerate. Furthermore, computer-related product shipments surged more than +290% YoY. The data comes as global memory chip conditions remain extremely tight, with DRAM prices up ~30–40% in 2026, though the scale of any supply constraints and energy-related cost pressures remains uneven across producers. Once chip prices eventually normalize, the correction could be deeper than anyone expects.
