🚨🤖 110 AUTOMATED WALLETS GENERATED 99.6% OF RLUSD PAYMENTS: Is XRP Ledger Activity Being Misread? 🤖🚨
Millions of transactions can make a blockchain look unstoppable. But what if most of that activity tells a very different story?
A Bitquery investigation covering September 19 to October 18, 2026, found that 110 automated wallets generated approximately 7.79 million RLUSD payments on the XRP Ledger, accounting for 99.6% of the payment count.
Here is the catch: those transactions transferred only about $7,722 in total. Most were tiny transfers routed repeatedly through three collector wallets, making transaction counts look far more impressive than the economic value behind them.
Yet this does not mean RLUSD has no meaningful activity. The same investigation identified around 14,600 payments worth at least $1, representing approximately $7.33 billion in transfers during the period. Some of that value involved issuer operations and concentrated wallet flows, so it should not automatically be interpreted as organic customer demand.
My Take: This is a lesson in blockchain analytics. Transaction volume, transfer value, unique users, and genuine economic activity are different metrics. Confusing them can create a misleading picture of adoption.
The investigation did not identify who controlled the automated wallets. Their activity also declined sharply in mid-October, but no confirmed link to a separate banking announcement was established.
A blockchain's strength is measured by meaningful economic activity, not simply how often its wallets move tokens.
Should blockchain adoption rankings prioritize transaction value and genuine users over raw payment counts?

Peter Brandt: ETH's Long-Term Breakout Level Sits at $5,000
Veteran chart analyst Peter Brandt — known for calling the 2018 BTC crash — shared his long-term technical outlook on ETH. With $ETH near $2,794, he sees $5,000 as the key long-term resistance; a confirmed breakout there could open the path toward ~$8,600. He also flagged a long-term target of $5.40 for $XRP.
$5,000 has been a psychologically significant level for ETH across past cycles, so clearing it would mark a real structural shift — but this is a multi-year, conditional target from one analyst, not a near-term price call.

🪙 **XRP Exchange Reserves Are Falling. But Where’s the Price Explosion? 😂**
XRP exchange balances are reportedly down to around **1.6B tokens** — near the lowest levels seen in years.
Sounds bullish.
But there’s a catch. 👀
Exchange reserves previously peaked around **3.76B XRP in October 2025**.
And roughly **1B XRP** has reportedly moved into ETF custody.
So… is XRP actually becoming scarce?
**Not necessarily.**
BUT HERE’S WHAT MANY PEOPLE MISS 👀
**Exchange outflows ≠ supply disappearing.**
XRP can simply move from exchanges into:
🏦 ETF custody
🐋 Private wallets
🔐 Long-term holdings
Ripple also still holds roughly **36B XRP in escrow**.
And exchange-reserve data has another limitation:
Different analytics providers track different platforms, so the numbers don't necessarily represent every XRP held across the market.
The bigger issue?
**Lower supply on exchanges doesn't automatically create demand.**
$XRP has reclaimed around **$1.19**, but the weekly chart still faces major resistance around **$1.62–$1.77**.
Until price breaks that zone, the scarcity narrative remains just that — a narrative.
Thin liquidity can amplify moves **up or down**.
🧠 **KuCoin Market Insight:**
**Scarcity matters only when demand is strong enough to absorb it.**
So what will XRP need first?
More coins leaving exchanges — or stronger demand pushing through $1.62–$1.77?

XRP Surges 44% in a Week: What’s Driving the Rally and Why Is the Price Pulling Back?
🔍 Key Insights
XRP surged approximately 44% within one week, attracting renewed attention from traders and investors, but the token has started pulling back as short-term profit-taking increased.
The rally reflects growing optimism around Ripple’s ecosystem and broader institutional interest in crypto payments.
📊 Market Analysis
Several factors have contributed to XRP’s recent momentum:
Stablecoin ecosystem expansion
Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin growth has strengthened the narrative around the XRP Ledger as a payments infrastructure network.
Stablecoins are increasingly being used for:
Cross-border settlement
Institutional transfers
Digital payments
Institutional adoption expectations
Investors are watching developments around:
Crypto investment products
Regulatory clarity
Enterprise blockchain adoption
Renewed market sentiment
As the broader crypto market improves, large-cap assets with established ecosystems have attracted increased capital.
However, after a sharp weekly rally, XRP’s pullback reflects normal market behavior:
Traders locking in profits
Short-term volatility
Resistance near key price levels
The long-term discussion around XRP remains focused on whether the XRP Ledger can capture a larger share of global payment infrastructure.
🚀 Crypto Impact
XRP’s rally highlights continued market interest in payment-focused blockchain networks.
A stronger XRP ecosystem could benefit projects focused on:
Stablecoins
Tokenized finance
Cross-border payments

🪙 XRP Highly Likely to Retest $1 This August: Kalshi
Although XRP has briefly flipped to the green side of the market after multiple days of extreme volatility, it has plunged back to levels not seen this month.
Following this heavy price decline, sentiment is increasingly flipping bearish and traders are gradually losing confidence in its recovery over the short term.
🔸 Kalshi traders turn bearish
Following the massive slowdown in its price, traders are predicting XRP could be heading for another test of the $1 level this month, per the latest data provided on crypto prediction market Kalshi.
The bearish sentiment is coming as traders appear to be increasingly exercising caution after XRP fell to its previous low of around $1.02.
Notably, the latest predictions on the platform regarding how low XRP could fall in August show that traders are betting on a possible retest of the $1 price level.
While the prediction market further recorded a trading volume of about $13,374, it appears that traders are actively placing bets on XRP's potential downside in August.
🔸 What is XRP saying?
It appears that the bearish predictions from traders regarding XRP's potential downward trajectory have been largely fueled by its recent price movement, which remained consistently in red territory for a long period.
However, XRP is beginning to print a different signal as its price is showing a decent recovery from the downtrend, with market analysts suggesting that traders are becoming exhausted.
As of the time of writing, XRP is showing a decent price gain of about 1.61% over the last 24 hours. If it is able to hold the positive momentum, the asset will be able to hedge against negative predictions from traders.
