🪙 **XRP Exchange Reserves Are Falling. But Where’s the Price Explosion? 😂**

XRP exchange balances are reportedly down to around **1.6B tokens** — near the lowest levels seen in years.

Sounds bullish.

But there’s a catch. 👀

Exchange reserves previously peaked around **3.76B XRP in October 2025**.

And roughly **1B XRP** has reportedly moved into ETF custody.

So… is XRP actually becoming scarce?

**Not necessarily.**

BUT HERE’S WHAT MANY PEOPLE MISS 👀

**Exchange outflows ≠ supply disappearing.**

XRP can simply move from exchanges into:

🏦 ETF custody

🐋 Private wallets

🔐 Long-term holdings

Ripple also still holds roughly **36B XRP in escrow**.

And exchange-reserve data has another limitation:

Different analytics providers track different platforms, so the numbers don't necessarily represent every XRP held across the market.

The bigger issue?

**Lower supply on exchanges doesn't automatically create demand.**

$XRP has reclaimed around **$1.19**, but the weekly chart still faces major resistance around **$1.62–$1.77**.

Until price breaks that zone, the scarcity narrative remains just that — a narrative.

Thin liquidity can amplify moves **up or down**.

🧠 **KuCoin Market Insight:**

**Scarcity matters only when demand is strong enough to absorb it.**

So what will XRP need first?

More coins leaving exchanges — or stronger demand pushing through $1.62–$1.77?
