THE TRUTH ABOUT $JUP – THE DROP ISN’T BECAUSE IT LOST VALUE 📉 $JUP began its decline at the start of 2025, coinciding with strong token unlock events. The broader market was also collapsing at the time, but notably, while SOL recovered to $245 (up roughly 2.5x from its low), $JUP failed to rebound alongside it. Selling pressure from the unlocks, particularly from Mercurial, combined with FUD surrounding Libra, suppressed any recovery momentum. 🚀 Many wonder why there haven’t been major announcements for $JUP at Catlumpurr? According to @FabianoSolana, there are still positive developments, such as the investment from ParaFi. However, given that unlock pressure is still intense, pushing narratives too early may not be prudent. Buybacks therefore become crucial. While this may sound controversial, repurchasing tokens helps the project accumulate supply, reduce selling pressure, and lay the foundation for a future upward cycle (similar to models used by many other projects). Unlocking will continue for approximately another year, so expecting an immediate breakout is unlikely.
