Amidst the investigation into the compromised wallet incident, Ledger has launched a new device featuring a tamper-resistant sensor 🔧 On October 15, at the Op3n event in Paris, Ledger introduced the Atom, an Android-powered device with two modes: Standard Mode for daily app use, and Secure Mode for viewing and signing transactions. A dedicated FPGA chip keeps Secure Mode completely isolated from Android. For physical tamper resistance, the Atom detects screen or casing removal and monitors the area containing core chips to identify signs of drilling or unauthorized opening. The sensors remain powered by a separate battery even when the device is turned off. Ledger states this feature will block exactly the type of screen-reading hardware used in the CryptoBilis incident. The Atom is available exclusively through Ledger’s website. The Founder’s Edition is priced at $849, requiring a $100 refundable deposit; the regular price is $899, while Ledger’s current wallets range from $69 to $399. Shipping is expected in summer 2027. What do you think—does this price point make it worth buying? 😄

The hot keyword in the Upside community right now: "55 Ly Thuong Kiet" 👮🏻‍♂️ From my research, this is the headquarters of the Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Unit (PA05), Hanoi Police Department. Recently, many members have been complaining in the group about their bank accounts being frozen and being required to appear at this address for questioning. Opinions on this topic vary widely: » Some say this is pure FUD meant to scare people away from P2P trading. » Others insist it’s real: “I’m going through this too,” along with screenshots of notices from Techcombank, VIB, TPBank, etc., informing them of temporary account freezes. » Some claim they’re currently at 55 Ly Thuong Kiet providing statements: “Don’t believe it? Just go there and ask anyone coming or going.” Has anyone here been called in for questioning?

According to Mr. Tran Huyen Dinh, CEO of AlphaTrue Solutions, after more than a year of operation, the app has accumulated approximately 10,000 accounts, over 15,000 transactions, and a total conversion volume exceeding $100,000 USD. Each transaction is capped at 1,000 USDT, with a monthly exchange limit of 30,000 USDT per account. Note: This model does not permit direct use of USDT to purchase goods or services. Blur is shutting down its website after trading volume plummeted by 99% 📉 Once the largest NFT exchange on Ethereum, Blur has announced it will shut down its website on November 12. Blend, Blur’s NFT lending service, will also stop offering new loans. According to DefiLlama, Blur’s trading volume reached approximately $1.43 billion in March 2023, accounting for over 70% of Ethereum’s NFT market share. By March this year, that figure had dropped to under $7 million. Here’s an interesting detail: Blur charges no trading fees whatsoever. According to Token Terminal, Blur’s protocol revenue has been $0 over the past three years, despite handling tens of billions in trading volume. 👀 This is the second project by Tieshun Roquerre (alias Pacman) to announce closure in the past 10 days. Earlier, on October 2, his Layer-2 network Blast also ceased operations. Following the announcement, the BLUR token dropped more than 30%, falling to around $0.013. 😄 Living long enough to see Blur shut down while OpenSea still hasn’t launched a token...

🚨 Ledger is investigating a series of wallets purchased through Southeast Asian distributors following suspicions of an $86 million loss. If you use a Ledger hardware wallet purchased through a distributor, please read this carefully. On October 9, Ledger announced it is investigating reports of fund losses related to devices sold through CryptoBilis, a distributor in Southeast Asia. Previously, anonymous on-chain investigator Specter suggested that attackers may have drained over $86 million from hundreds of wallets on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tron networks. Ledger has not confirmed this figure or disclosed the cause. CoinDesk raised the possibility of a supply chain attack—meaning attackers may have tampered with devices before they reached customers, such as pre-installing a known recovery seed phrase. This would be like buying a lock while the locksmith keeps a spare key. However, this has not been confirmed. Ledger has requested CryptoBilis suspend sales. The company advises anyone who purchased from this distributor in the past 90 days not to activate their device. Those who have already activated theirs should consider transferring their assets to a new Ledger device with a newly generated recovery seed phrase 😬 Details: https://t.co/kLnlFTJRPt

Those who got burned on the recent long/short trade will find some comfort. Burned is burned—sadness over. At least you didn’t get slowly bled dry like those who took out loans to buy suburban real estate or provincial land 😅 https://t.co/suzBZ1gmUs

👀 The CLARITY Act may be voted on by the U.S. Senate on September 15. SEC Chair Paul Atkins said he expects the U.S. Senate to vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15. However, this is only a proposed schedule, and the outcome remains unconfirmed. If passed, the bill would establish a legal framework to classify digital assets into three main categories: securities, commodities, or stablecoins, clarifying the regulatory jurisdiction of each agency. The CLARITY Act was passed by the House of Representatives last year but has been stalled in the Senate for much of this year. A contentious issue is whether platforms should be permitted to offer interest payments to customers. The bill is also being revised regarding ethical regulations. A draft released in July proposed banning government officials from promoting or profiting from crypto, but some Democratic lawmakers still believe these provisions are not stringent enough. 👉 Details: https://t.co/0SZTDTn0mj
