Kateesha shut down a successful LinkedIn agency in June and went all-in on coaching men who run seven and eight figure businesses. Most of them are crushing it at work and losing at home. She was unwell for almost a decade. Her take on burnout is that you benefit from it. Secondary gain. Attention, sympathy, an excuse not to face the harder thing. She had a CEO write out three pages of ways she secretly gained from being burnt out. Once you admit the gain, you can stop feeding it. She does not believe in balance. She believes in priorities and presence, and you cannot set either until you know your actual values, not the ones on the office wall. Home is more confronting than the business for a lot of the men she works with. No sex in 12 months, grumpy with the kids, 10 to 20 kilos on. It is easier to throw another year at a company that is not working than to look at that. She will say the hard thing. One client got told he was a master manipulator in the second session and asked for another invoice in the third. The universe rewards the brave is how she ends every keynote. The ripple is the kid who says dad is less angry at home.

Bitcoin is tracking global liquidity the same way gold does, with adoption as the multiplier on top. That is the gold 2.0 argument. It has not been tested for 5,000 years. That is the gap. On the other measures, ETFs, US government legitimisation, and the way it responds to liquidity, it is serving the role. Central banks are not yet competing for every coin. That is more about age than about the function.

When your auntie, your mechanic and your landlord are all talking about the same no-brainer trade, that is usually the exit, not the entry. The more worrying version is when major outlets and large accounts with big followings are leading people the same way. It happens at the top of every cycle. The FOMO is louder now than it was when prices were lower. That is not a coincidence.

The FOMO is stronger now than it was a couple of months ago when prices were lower. That does not make sense and it is exactly how the last part of the cycle works. People who should know better are reaching for "this time is different" because of the AI build-out. The conversations Dhruv is having, including with professionals, have shifted from caution to not wanting to miss the last leg. That is the emotion that does the damage.

Someone has raised serious debt against AI data centre chips that have a six or seven year life. The building is purpose-built for those chips, with the cooling to match. You do not pull them out and drop them in a new hall. It is a dead asset once the generation moves on. Using that as stable collateral for a multi-year loan is a strange way to underwrite anything. Who do you think is actually holding that paper?

Katrina has been through the Victorian side of this and the bit that stands out is how many of these charges now sit on the property itself. The emergency services and volunteers fund is the latest. It started as a fixed charge for the 2026-27 year, it varies by region, and it is annual, not a one-off. About $282 in some areas, more in others. People are already asking why the existing tax take does not cover the CFA and the rescue services, and the answer is basically that it gets added to the bill anyway. For an investor the question is whether the rent still covers the stack once you add land tax and the rest. If it does not, either the rent goes up or the property stops making sense. Farmers are in the same bind. Insurance, land tax, and now this, on top of the ordinary costs of running the place. It is becoming a dinner-table conversation about whether the family home is still worth keeping. This is not only a Victoria story. Once the charges are attached to the land, the decision about whether to own it changes for everyone.

Longest land cycle on record, count back about 71 weeks, and you land around September 2028. That is also a Shemitah year. Not every Shemitah is a crash. Every big stock crash has landed on one. Dhruv is not saying the market waits until then. Latest plausible peak, on that math. More likely the next three to six months. Tops can drift. Rally, go sideways, then a swan. Worth knowing the outer date. Not a calendar to trade.

In the GFC, the stock peak lined up with the MOVE index breaking out. Land had already started cooling. Stocks were still blowing off. Same shape now. MOVE carving out a low. Land heavy. Equities still the thing everyone is watching. Dhruv’s point is pretty plain. That MOVE move is the last clean window to get out of stocks before it gets spectacular. Land does not wait for the headline.

Three patterns stacked. None of them friendly. Dot-com concentration. A land cycle that looks like the end, not the middle, so more GFC than 2000. A right-translated four-year cycle that looks a bit like the run into the COVID plunge. Into the GFC, stocks still ripped about 25 percent in four to six weeks. That last leg is how the holdouts get pulled in. Has to be loud. Then the leverage does the rest.

Sat down with @realDhruvSuri this week and he calls this stretch the winner's curse. Assets keep going up, everyone feels clever, and the cracks underneath get wider while that is happening. We went through the liquidity picture with Paul not that long ago and it was not a comforting read, and since then the MOVE index has started to lift while the stock market has mostly shrugged. What bothers me is how narrow it is. The S&P looks fine if you only watch the index, but a lot of the names underneath are already down and the gains are sitting in a handful of AI stocks. Dhruv's read is that you have dot-com style concentration sitting on top of a land cycle that looks more like the end than the middle, so closer to the GFC than to 2000. Into the GFC, stocks still ripped something like 25 percent in four to six weeks. That is the part that catches people who are waiting for it to look obvious. On the land-cycle math, the latest plausible peak lands around September 2028, which is also a Shemitah year. He is not saying it waits that long. His actual window is more like the next three to six months, and tops have a habit of drifting before they break.
