-$117k last 30 days were brutal trading wise for me no matter what size you're playing with, losses always hurt because you want to win we did very well in september, but october was hard because of these mistakes (dont make them): > got distracted in singapore, went from trading to chasing proper dd > over sized to try to get back to local high pnl ($330k) > cut losses sooner when i realized i oversized, i didnt want to be wrong that fast (would have had that greed even if i traded in private) > i put in $50k back from the house bank account, no need to redeploy capital, should have stayed with what i had > traded when conditions were not appropriate will continue to improve, get back to prime

this guy turned 0.5 sol into $100k in 30 days beautiful written piece breaking down his mindset and strategy, and how starting (and staying) with a “small” bankroll allowed him to be surgical and constantly win the last 30 days were hard trading wise, but there are great outliers to learn from

i fell in love with trading because it felt like the modern day american dream you didn't need a degree, connections, or anyone's permission to change your life just wifi, $100, and a willingness to figure it out over the past 4 years, crypto, trading, and social media have changed the trajectory of my life faster than i ever imagined, and i know i'm not the only one met kindajeety in singapore, a 19 yr old who's made $100k trading over the past few years the fact that someone from anywhere in the world can completely change their life through the internet will never stop amazing me the internet dream

no trading isn’t an insiders’ game we’ve also seen it recently with people winning on niu lai, ai, pons, cashcat, stonks, and many others my biggest wins came from being online chronically, nothing was ever insider “buy pepe because it’s a good meme” “I think nfts on bitcoin could work” “just hold ts bro, believe” “im bidding on peace, longing eth” yes, being surrounded by smart people that would share why “xyz could be the next big thing” is a thing, but that’s just obsessive and passionate people doing their thing of course, some “insider” shit exists, but that isn’t the main thing wrong with the game imo endless opportunity, we just have to get out of our own way

one of the most expensive lessons i've learned is that knowing how to make money doesn't mean you know how to keep it have rules that automatically reduce your risk after a massive winning streak, because the version of yourself that just made a lot of money isn't always the best person to decide what to do with it few things i've learned the hard way over the years that have helped: > consistently take profits out of your trading accounts and into the real world, then into places that take more effort to access (brokerage, t-bills, etc) > create friction between yourself and the buy button, using physical cold storage back in the day forced me to slow down, even that one extra button press saved me from myself (now most of my crypto sits on a cex, away from where i actively trade) > understand the state of liquidity and trust your pattern recognition, when conditions are bad, don't force trades just because you're used to playing > learn to recognize the difference between seeing an opportunity and feeling the need to find one but the biggest skill i'm still trying to master is knowing when to flip the switch from maximum aggression, sizing up and pressing the buy button without hesitation when the opportunity is there to doing absolutely nothing no forcing trades, no trying to recreate yesterday's wins, no need to be involved knowing when to play is a skill knowing when to pause play will save you millions i've probably kept 20% of all the money i've made, which isn't horrible, but even doubling that would be life changing will continue working on it intentionally

the market has punished me a few times for being a dreamer and a believer that'll never change just where i focus that energy will

i remember this random night in college, it was the middle of the winter and we all came home drunk turned on smash bros (on nintendo 64) and played 1v1s for some reason that night, me and my bro josh were debating who was the best player in the house, i obviously thought my fox could easily beat his yoshi so we put $10 on it, 5 lives, no items, just raw talent i lost okay, i easily saw where i misplayed, was a bit too aggro, so i said "double or nothing" lost the 2nd game "double or nothing" lost again, and now i owed josh $40 ($10, $20, $40) i stood up, took a quick lap around the room, inhale, exhale, "double or nothing" back then $80 was A LOT of money, but i was confident that i could beat him, i was the better player, no way i could lose 4 times in a row lol i ended up losing, but josh being the homie he was said that i didnt owe him money, IF i decided to never bet again because you see, i was quite the degen on campus, i just loved to put money behind my convictions even though i didnt have much it was just fun, and i loved being right a few days go by, and one day brother josh just comes home to a $100 bill sitting on his desk ($80 + interest) i had to return this promise because i knew the rest of my life i would be taking bets, risks, trades on myself, it was just a part of my identity so i kept taking risks at every stage of my life joining the start up vs the corp quitting the dope job to do my own thing asking my wife on a first date buying my first nft trying to make my first video a lot has changed since then one thing ive learned through these years, is the people that win the biggest are the ones that take the biggest and highest convicted bets on themselves not meaning certain "trades" or moves or whatever, but on constantly improve their craft and what they love to do take the risk take the right risks it'll always pay off you either win, or you lose random story i know, but i could still beat anyone with fox

do you think the internet has gotten more toxic over the years or less? is it just a reflection of the current state of the world? how do we improve it
