Bitcoin Remains Under Pressure as the Fed Holds Rates Steady Yesterday, the Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged following the latest FOMC meeting. From a technical perspective, $BTC remains within a descending channel on the 4H timeframe, with progressively lower highs keeping the short-term structure bearish. The recent rejection at 84,898 USDT highlights buyers' ongoing struggle to regain control of the market. BTC is currently trading around 80,462 USDT, below the 81,200–81,600 USDT value area, where the Value Area Low and Point of Control converge. As long as the price remains below this zone, selling pressure is likely to persist. On the downside, 79,221 USDT is the key level to watch, near the recent swing low. A confirmed breakdown could open the way toward the weekly S1 support at 77,951 USDT. On the upside, reclaiming the value area would be the first sign of technical improvement, potentially paving the way for a move toward 82,500–83,000 USDT. The Weekly VWAP at 79,836 USDT remains another important reference for assessing short-term price stability.
