Floods, climate change, pests, and diseases have created serious challenges for cocoa farmers in Aceh, Indonesia. Many have lost their farms and now face the difficult task of rebuilding. Despite these setbacks, the Aceh Cocoa Forum, together with @dimitratech | $DMTR, is working with local governments, researchers, and buyers to strengthen the cocoa sector through sustainable farming, environmental protection, and better access to knowledge. From understanding EUDR requirements to exploring digital agriculture and carbon opportunities, equipping farmers with the right information can help them improve their livelihoods. Through its traceability work across Indonesia’s cocoa and coffee supply chains, Dimitra is contributing to efforts to help farmers prepare for changing market requirements and build a more sustainable future.
