9 of the top 10 ENS registrations last week were expired names. Expiring payment identifiers pose a risk for users. Someone forgets to renew, someone else grabs the name, and the next payment sent to it goes to the new owner (aka dropcatching). Happened to one of my friends. $3,000 gone.
