BNB Chain has completed its 37th quarterly token burn, permanently removing 1,646,196.44 BNB worth approximately $1.197 billion at the time of the burn.

The burn brings $BNB’s remaining total supply down to 131.51 million tokens, as the network continues its Auto-Burn programme targeting a final supply of 100 million BNB.

The quarterly burn is separate from BNB’s real-time burning mechanism, which destroys a portion of gas fees generated on BNB Smart Chain.</p>
