Upon landing in Da Nang, travelers can now exchange USDT for Vietnamese dong directly at the airport ✈️ Da Nang has expanded the pilot scope of Basal Pay, Vietnam’s first sandbox application enabling digital asset conversion to fiat currency, from 3 to 10 locations. The updated list includes Da Nang International Airport, Hoi An, Ba Na Hills, along with several golf courses and resorts. Basal Pay, operated by AlphaTrue Solutions, received official pilot authorization starting August 2025. According to Mr. Tran Huyen Dinh, CEO of AlphaTrue Solutions, after more than a year of operation, the app has accumulated approximately 10,000 accounts, over 15,000 transactions, and a total conversion volume exceeding $100,000 USD. Each transaction is capped at 1,000 USDT, with a monthly exchange limit of 30,000 USDT per account. Note: This model does not permit direct use of USDT to purchase goods or services.
