Real-world asset open interest on Hyperliquid reached a new ATH of $3.6B.

Hyperliquid continues to see explosive growth in its real-world asset trading sector. Open interest for RWAs on the platform just hit a fresh all-time high of $3.6 billion according to recent data from DeFiLlama. This surge comes as total platform open interest also climbed to a 2026 peak around $11 billion before settling slightly lower. It shows strong demand for tokenized exposure to traditional assets in a decentralized perpetuals environment.

Several HIP-3 markets are driving much of the activity. Assets like SKHX and SP500 stand out with hundreds of millions in open interest each. Traders appear drawn to the 24/7 on-chain access, leverage options, and seamless trading that Hyperliquid offers for these real-world exposures. The milestone reflects broader market interest in bridging traditional finance with crypto derivatives, especially as more institutions and retail participants explore these products.

This latest record builds on months of steady expansion for Hyperliquid's RWA sector. Earlier peaks had already pushed past $2 billion, but the recent jump highlights accelerating momentum. As the platform matures, it could play an even bigger role in how people gain exposure to stocks, indices, and other assets without leaving the blockchain. The growth signals healthy appetite for innovative trading venues in the evolving crypto landscape.
