Liquid Network recovery update

Liquid Network said on Tuesday that the network was operating again, more than one month after hackers stole 4,000 bitcoin from the network's federation wallet. The stolen bitcoin was worth about $320 million at the time.

This snapshot offers a look at market momentum, but it does not explain why the price moved or whether the trend will continue. Before assessing RAIN, verify the project's official information, token utility, circulating supply, trading volume, liquidity, and current market price through sources. A low unit price alone does not indicate value, and a green daily change is never a guarantee of future performance. 100 crypto projects shut down this year after burning $1B in funding. Yet my timeline is still hunting for the next 100x altcoin. I was digging into DeFiLlama’s research, and the underlying unit economics of this industry are completely broken. Look at the actual data: The Loss Ratio: The 100 projects that announced shutdowns by August 2026 raised a collective $1,000,000,000 in funding. The Reality: Their combined lifetime fee generation? Just $250M. The Acceleration: The collapse is picking up speed ..40 of those shutdown announcements came in a single 90-day window leading up to 18 August. Even the giants are bleeding out. Look at Blast. Backed by Paradigm, it once attracted over $2B in TVL. Yet, they just announced their shutdown because running the network fundamentally cost more than it earned. This exposes the dirty secret of the current market: • High TVL does not mean a profitable business. • Millions in volume do not automatically translate to sustainable protocol revenue. • Most of these ecosystems are simply zombie protocols surviving on VC runway and artificial token incentives rather than genuine consumer demand. But here is the deeper question we are all overlooking: -Even when a protocol does become profitable, how much of that economic success actually flows back to the spot token holders? -If we spend all our time looking at price charts instead of analyzing who pays for the network and where the cash goes, we are just exit liquidity. -The era of subsidised ghost chains is ending. Which DeFi project or L2 on your timeline actually has the organic revenue to survive without relying on token emissions? Drop your top survival pick below. 👇

Qubic restarting its chain after a $1.4M hack is being sold as "recovery," but a chain that can just hit reset isn't as decentralized as the pitch deck says 🤔 Second exploit in days after Cysic's 10M CYS mint. Small-cap infra keeps leaking while BTC finally clears the $82K chop. Rotation into majors makes sense to me. Recovery claims are nice; I'd still wait to see who actually gets paid 💸 #Crypto #Markets

60 crypto hacks, only 0.8% of funds recovered by victims From May 1 to August 5, 60 aggregated Blockaid attacks resulted in a total loss of $1.18 billion. Most of this money is considered lost because: • Hackers moved funds extremely quickly, with an average time of just 17 minutes after the attack, leaving very little window for intervention. • Only $9.8 million was returned to victims—approximately 0.8%. An additional $81.4 million was frozen but has not yet been returned. • Stablecoin issuers and exchanges recovered zero funds in these incidents. Although 16 cases met the criteria for issuers to freeze hacker wallet addresses, none did so. • 99% of all recovered or frozen funds resulted from protocol- or blockchain-level interventions. Notably, following the KelpDAO incident, Arbitrum froze $71 million.

Everyone's dunking on Qubic for getting hacked for $1.4M... but nobody's talking about what happened right after. Validators voted to restart the chain and opened recovery claims that stay open until May 1, 2027. That's not a rug, that's a network actually functioning the way it's supposed to. Compare that to half the POS chains out there that patch quietly, never disclose the real loss number, and hope nobody notices. Qubic's useful proof of work setup lets miners and validators coordinate in real time to fix a mess — try pulling that off on a chain where a dozen wallets control 70% of stake. This is exactly why I keep saying POW based networks eat POS chains alive next cycle. Kaspa's doing it with pure hashpower, Qubic's doing it with useful work that actually produces something besides ticket numbers in a governance forum. Transparency plus a real recovery path beats a comms team doing damage control, every single time. A 19 month claim window on a $1.4M incident isn't a red flag, it's the opposite. Anyone think a major POS chain could pull off something this clean if it got hit the same way?

Mark my words: Venture Capital is spinning the block on blockchain. AI has eaten aaaall VC money for 5 years.. which is exactly how long DeFi has been dead. That’s because a few things happened 5 years ago: The FTX collapse, regulatory uncertainty, and most importantly the emerging field of AI software you could chat with natively. And naturally, that’s where the money went. Fast forward 5 years later: Anthropic made 16 times what they made last year and they’re STILL eighty billion short of where investors need to see profitability with their two trillion dollar valuation. Across the board it’s obvious: the “up only” era of AI investing is over. The ceiling has been found. Open weight models—ones you run locally—are getting better and better, and less than half of the datacenters proposed in 2024 have been built. Understand Venture Capital is not smart money. It’s gambling money of the elites, and it goes where there is maximum opportunity on the internet. So what are they seeing? 1) The AI ceiling is in 2) SEC verdict: DeFi is not securities 3) Bitcoin bottom is IN 4) Solana treasury companies are getting eaten by hype & robinhood 5) Anthropic keeps killing AI startups and STILL isn’t profitable For these reasons and more, I believe we’ve arrived on the steps of a bull run many have expected; One where DeFi and utility are at the backbone of growth. Yes, it WILL be a house of cards, but the speed of it will be different. This is the kind of bull run where plumbers and philosophers capture abundance onchain. The maximum extraction fortnite kid era is finished. Keep your eyes on robinhood, they’re Making Ethereum Great Again. The future of finance looks good here.

A JAM implementer has opened 4 new proposals that would overturn the previously passed Polkadot referendum 1926. Referendum 1926 passed with close to 100% Aye. It mandates: * 100% revenue from JAMKB (sales, leases, rentals) burned automatically, with no treasury build-up. * No footprint as a grant, gift or below-market loan. * Every footprint allocation, to anyone, for any purpose, paid at market price. It was DOT holders' reaction to JAMKB -- DOT holders funded JAM, so JAM’s scarcest resource should pay them back through burns. Referendum 1926 was just 3 months old, and its foundation is already loosening.
