Cardano launches token compliance standard

Oct 7, Cardano activated CIP-0113, a native token standard with freeze/seizure controls. ADA fell 8.71% to $0.25397 amid broader crypto declines.

Only on FluidTokens do you have full control over your cardano:native. Use it as collateral and you still earn staking rewards directly from your stake pool, no middleman. Lend it out, and even when borrowers aren’t using it, your stake pool keeps earning staking rewards every epoch. Your cardano:native on Fluid never sits idle. It earns yield every single second.

⚠️@Cardano bears might want to look away. Since the beginning of 2026, Cardano’s Token Trading Volume / FDMC ratio has surged 188.7%, according to @artemis, showing a major expansion in trading activity relative to the network’s fully diluted valuation. And honestly, we like what we’re seeing. Cardano keeps building, the ecosystem keeps moving and thousands of new users are choosing the network because onboarding is very easy. We’ve been happy to be part of that journey and to watch the network grow along the way and the rest of 2026 could get pretty fun.

Crypto in 2016: "Code is law." Crypto in 2026: "Code is law. Also, compliance can freeze your tokens." @Cardano just took CIP-0113 live at #TOKEN2049 . KYC checks, sanctions screening, freeze and seize, all enforced by the ledger itself. Before anyone panics: it's opt-in. It's built for stablecoins and tokenized funds. cardano:native itself isn't freezable. And honestly? This is where regulated assets were always heading. MiCA-style rules don't care about your ideology. They care about who can stop a sanctioned transfer. So the real question isn't "can this token be frozen?" It's "who holds the key, and did I know before I bought it?" Permissionless money and programmable compliance can both win. Just don't confuse one for the other.

Cardano sets a new record with 436 transactions per second in a single block. The Cardano blockchain has just set a new transaction throughput record, achieving 436 TPS in a single block on October 7, according to data from the analytics platform Chainspect. This surpasses the previous record of 345 TPS recorded earlier the same day. This new milestone demonstrates Cardano’s ability to handle sudden spikes in network activity. However, this TPS level was achieved in a single block and does not indicate sustained continuous performance at 436 TPS. Cardano is currently preparing for the Ouroboros Leios upgrade, aiming to significantly enhance network scalability and target approximately 1,000 TPS. Meanwhile, the Cardano ecosystem is showing further signs of growth, including the mainnet launch of RealFi, support for the Open Wallet Standard, and the introduction of CIP-0113, a programmable token standard for stablecoins and managed assets.

Cardano support is live in Open Wallet Standard v1.4.3. 🛠️ Proud to have built the implementation 🫡, with coordination and technical review from @IOGroup and @midnightfdn

$FOGO logged 165.4M txs on Oct 7. The day averaged 1,915 TPS and set a seven day high for daily activity. The TPS average is the useful signal, showing pace beyond raw volume. Now there's a weekly mark to beat.

$ADA's monthly revenue hit $70K. Monthly reporting gives Cardano a baseline to compare over time. One $70K month is a baseline. A rising series is the real signal. Next month will show if it holds.

I asked for receipts. The developers brought source code. KCC-20, the token standard, is now in Last Call. @michaelsuttonil merged @manyfest_'s reference implementation: local tests, not a live token rollout. @supertypo_kas published @dotk_name's registry contracts and a tool to check they match what's running on mainnet. Standards you can review. Code you can inspect. A difficult day for my "trust me bro" department.

Cardano has broke through 436 TPS on October 7, up from 345 TPS earlier that day. Cardano hasn't even deployed it's scalability yet.
