So the honest answer: Bitcoin has crushed the iPhone as a store of value over seven years, and has done it while cutting your buying power in half twice along the way. Worth noting the denominator moved too. iPhone prices rose across this period, so part of the gain is BTC appreciating and part is Apple charging more.
