🚀 Morgan Stanley expands crypto offering with Ethereum and Solana ETPs
Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) has launched two new exchange-traded products linked to Ethereum and Solana, completing its regulated crypto exposure suite alongside its existing Bitcoin product.
The new vehicles, Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (MSOL), began trading on NYSE Arca with a 0.14% annual expense ratio, positioning them among the most competitive crypto investment products available in the U.S. market.
One of the key features is staking integration. Both trusts plan to stake a portion of their $ETH and $SOL holdings to generate additional rewards, with 100% of staking rewards passed directly to ETP shareholders rather than retained by Morgan Stanley.
The launch reflects growing institutional demand for digital asset products that combine price exposure with potential yield generation. With this expansion, Morgan Stanley now offers regulated access to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, the three largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
However, the products still carry risks related to market volatility, staking operations and the legal structure of the trusts, which do not provide the same protections as traditional funds registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940.
Morgan Stanley’s move into staking-enabled crypto products highlights a broader shift toward institutional vehicles designed to make digital assets more accessible while adding new sources of potential returns.
