Midnight DIDN'T get hacked! 🚨 What the data is showing so far is that the Wanchain bridge-layer had an incident, not an issue with the Midnight network or the $NIGHT token itself. Around 515M $NIGHT (~97% of Wanchain’s bridged NIGHT reserves) was moved from Wanchain’s Cardano-side bridge lock address and appears to have been sold through Cardano DEXs. The native $NIGHT supply and Midnight network are still unaffected. 💪 Until Wanchain releases an official update be careful with bridge tx, and only trust information from official channels! Don't spread FUD and stay safe! 🥰

Update related to the Wanchain Bridge. It seems to be a third-party issue. Midnight and NIGHT tokens are fine.

Be careful if you plan to use Wanchain Bridge to transfer NIGHT tokens between Cardano and BNB Chain.

This issue is not related to @MidnightNtwrk. It originated from the Wanchain bridge. Assets that rely on bridges always carry this kind of risk, so it's worth being extra cautious with other bridge assets that also depend on Wanchain. I think trust-minimized bridges like BitVM will become increasingly important going forward.
