PANews Original |MiCA’s Crypto Shakeout Has a Clear Winner: Germany As MiCA moves into full enforcement, Europe’s crypto industry is going through a regulatory reset. According to the @FinancialTimes, only around 12% of crypto firms in the EU were authorized to keep operating under the new rules as of July 1, with 244 entities receiving CASP authorization. Germany alone accounts for 57 MiCA-authorized CASPs, roughly 23% of the EU total, making it one of the most important compliance hubs in the bloc. Germany’s edge is not just the number of licenses. Long before MiCA, the country had already brought crypto custody, trading, brokerage, and payment-related activities into existing banking, securities, and payments frameworks, creating a clearer path for regulated crypto businesses. Now, Germany’s crypto stack is moving beyond exchanges. Bank apps, tokenized securities, on-chain settlement, and euro stablecoin infrastructure are becoming part of the same digital finance buildout. Europe’s next crypto race may not be about who can launch tokens first, but who controls licenses, banking distribution, custody, settlement, and financial infrastructure. #MiCA #Germany #CryptoRegulation #CASP #Europe #OnChainFinance

Full compliance unlocked in Europe. @Ripple is now fully MiCA compliant after Luxembourg's regulator granted a Crypto Asset Service Provider authorization. $XRP payments can now scale across all 30 countries in the EEA under one regulated framework.

CRYPTO BAN IN INDIA 👀 → 2018: RBI circular banned banks from crypto. Supreme Court struck it down in 2020. → 2019: Inter-Ministerial Committee drafted a bill to ban private crypto. It never left the draft stage. → 2021: Government announced plans for a crypto prohibition bill. It was never introduced in Parliament. Today's story is the RBI testifying before a Parliamentary Standing Committee, repeating warnings it has made consistently since 2013. That is the same institution saying the same thing it has said for over a decade, and headlines are treating it like breaking news. Here is what the panic always misses. India has taxed crypto gains at 30% with 1 percent TDS since 2022. You do not build a taxation framework around something you intend to eliminate. Every rupee collected is the government tacitly admitting crypto exists, operates, and generates revenue worth protecting. The Supreme Court precedent from 2020 still stands too. Any future ban attempt does not just need political will, it needs to survive judicial review on proportionality grounds. That is a real legal backstop, not a hope. With an estimated 39 million crypto holders in the country, banning crypto outright is no longer just a policy decision. It is a political one, and it carries a cost no government has been willing to absorb three times running. None of this means India will never regulate more tightly. It probably will, and stricter rules on banks and payment rails are the more realistic outcome than prohibition. But the specific fear driving today's headlines, a nationwide ban on individuals holding or trading crypto, has been tried and has failed to materialize three separate times in eight years. Patterns repeat until something structurally changes. Nothing structural has changed here.

Banning crypto won’t stop crypto. It’ll just push builders, capital, and innovation somewhere else. India has some of the world’s best engineers. We should be leading the next financial infrastructure stack, not watching it get built offshore.

The reason FDI in India has dwindled is excessive KYC scrutiny on foreign capital. If every inflow is treated as a potential terrorism risk, the policy effectively says: “Let’s slow down 99.99% of legitimate transactions to catch the 0.01% that aren’t.” Who thought this was good economic policy?

TENNESSEE UPHOLDS BAN ON CRYPTO ATMS 👀 A federal judge has allowed Tennessee's statewide ban on crypto ATMs to remain in effect while a legal challenge continues. The law, which took effect July 1, makes it a Class A misdemeanor to install or operate a cryptocurrency ATM in the state. State officials say the ban is aimed at preventing scammers from targeting vulnerable residents through crypto ATM fraud. The lawsuit challenging the law is still ongoing.

📰 NEWS: India's central bank (RBI) is pushing for a crypto policy "leaning towards prohibition," according to internal government documents seen by Reuters. The proposal would bar banks and regulated financial institutions from holding or gaining exposure to cryptocurrencies and private stablecoins, even as India has ~39M crypto users holding an estimated $2.1B in digital assets. 🇮🇳
