Can you believe this just happened? One of the biggest unsolved problems in mathematics may have been solved by AI. And the crazy part is… it’s about something as simple as water flowing. Imagine stirring a glass of water. The flow starts smooth, with little swirls and vortices. The Navier–Stokes problem asks , Can that smooth flow remain smooth forever or can it suddenly become infinitely violent in a finite amount of time? OpenAI claims its new AI system proved the latter. The proof describes a vortex that spirals inward while stretching along its axis, becoming thinner and more intense until a singularity forms. If the proof checks out, this is absolutely wild

I was going through the 2010 Sony PS3 hack today and came across something pretty wild. Sony was using ECDSA to sign software, but they reused the same random nonce k for different signatures. That tiny implementation mistake was enough to recover their private signing key. The Hackers didn’t break ECDSA or brute-force anything they just reused one number that was supposed to be random 😭 It’s a good reminder that in cryptography, the math can be perfectly secure and the implementation can still break everything
