Coinbase launches hash rate forwards

Coinbase launched the first compliant 'Hashrate Forwards' for institutions, enabling miners to lock future revenue. This marks hash rate as a standardized commodity.

Is your Bitcoin currently losing the battle for electricity against AI? In 2026, sentiment ends—and brutal portfolio math begins. The hungry rates of Bitcoin Numbers don’t lie: 1 MW of energy used to mine BTC generates an average of $100 in revenue today. The same megawatt devoted to AI computing hosting yields $500. That’s a fivefold profit boost from the same outlet. Giants like Core Scientific and Bitfarms have stopped pretending. Since your ASIC miners can’t be reprogrammed for AI, they’re being systematically removed to make room for GPUs. The most valuable asset in a mine is no longer silicon for SHA-256—but the facility itself and its high-capacity power connection. Aggressive subsidies on the Bittensor (TAO) network For smaller players, the escape route is TAO. In subnets like Chutes (SN64), the system pays for delivering intelligence—not empty hashes. The model is staggering: the network can subsidize up to $40 for every $1 of actual token emission revenue, just to wrest computational power away from traditional miners. The AI market has billions for hardware—but desperately needs energy. Will Bitcoin survive this infrastructure drain when competitors pay 5x more for your electricity? Loyalty to BTC or hard AI profits? What’s your choice? 👇

🗞️ Cryptocurrency asset management company Grayscale has filed an amendment to its S-1 application for the Bittensor (TAO) Trust. The company’s update indicates that the regulatory process for this investment vehicle is ongoing and that steps are being taken to finalize the product’s structure.

TAO trades at $305.73, down 9.15% weekly amid selling pressure, but mcap stabilized +0.04% to $2.94B (#36 rank). $267M daily volume delivers top-tier liquidity at 9% mcap ratio. Fixed 21M supply with 45.7% circulating creates scarcity narrative despite 54% unlock dilution risk. -59% from ATH $758 offers massive recovery vector; +898% from ATL proves resilience. Near 24h high $308 resistance, $294 support holds. AI sector catalyst positions TAO for breakout as adoption ramps. Accumulate.

🚨 JUST IN: GRAYSCALE FILES AMENDED S-1 FOR BITTENSOR $TAO TRUST Grayscale has filed an amended S-1 for its Bittensor $TAO Trust, a clear signal of their deepening focus on AI-driven crypto assets. This step underscores the accelerating convergence of blockchain and artificial intelligence, a trend that could redefine market dynamics.

$TAO subnet leaderboard, April 2026. No. 1: SN3 τemplar — decentralised LLM training. Jensen Huang endorsed it publicly. No. 2: SN64 Chutes — serverless AI inference. 85% cheaper than AWS. No. 3: SN4 Targon — confidential GPU compute. Up 166% in 30 days. No. 4: SN120 affine — reinforcement learning. Open the intelligence layer. No. 5: SN51 lium — 500+ NVIDIA H100s. Sovereign GPU infrastructure. Total ecosystem: $1.39 billion. 128 active subnets $TAO is not just a token. It is the reserve currency of decentralised AI.

Nobody talks about Bittensor subnets. That is exactly why you should. The dTAO system lets the market decide which subnets win daily emissions. No central authority. No council. Pure market conviction. Right now, the top subnets are doing real things: - Decentralised LLM training - Serverless inference - Confidential GPU compute - Reinforcement learning environments And the December 2025 halving just cut the new supply in half. Less supply. More utility. Growing institutional interest. $TAO is not just a token. It is the base currency of a live AI economy.

Accumulating $TAO at $300 feels like an absolute steal compared to where this Gem is headed. With the recent subnet expansion to 256 and the post-halving supply shock finally kicking in, we are looking at the foundational layer of decentralized AI. The coming weeks and months should be legendary.

VIP MARKET UPDATE — $TAOUSDT 03 Apr 2026 | 09:13 Europe/Dublin Price Ref: 307.5 Lads, TAO is trying to squeeze higher here, but it is running straight into the first proper sell wall. The short-term structure has improved. On the 15m and 30m, price is holding above the fast EMA stack, momentum is positive, RSI is hot, and the bounce off 292.67 is clearly alive. The 1H is also curling up well, but this is the important bit: price is now pressing into the 1H 99 EMA around 308.25, the 4H 25 EMA around 307.84, and the daily 7 EMA around 307.64. So that 308 to 309 area is not random resistance at all. It is the local lid. The heatmaps back that up cleanly. The 24H map is loaded above with liquidity from 309 through 316. The 1W map gets thicker again up in the 329 to 341 band. The 1M map still shows the bigger magnets sitting much higher around 354, 370 and even 385, but TAO has not earned that move yet. First it has to prove it can reclaim the local ceiling. Order flow is decent. Spot bids were sitting at 307.45 and 307.43, outweighing the immediate asks at 307.47 and 307.48, so there is real local support under price. Funding is positive, but not crazy. Long/short data is still slightly short-leaning overall, which means there is still squeeze fuel in the tank if buyers can force the break. At the same time, max pain data shows a much bigger pain pocket below than above, so if this bounce loses steam, downside can open up fast. The 4H is the real tell for me. It is not in full trend continuation yet. It is more of a recovery curl inside a broader range after that sharp pullback from the 374 area. Daily still looks structurally strong overall because price is miles above the daily 25 and 99 EMA, but the market is still trading under the post-spike supply and still well below the 349.97 reclaim zone and the 374.72 high. In plain English: strong coin, but not out of the woods. BTC backdrop is not fighting this right now either. BTC OI is firm, options OI is still call-heavy, funding is near flat to mixed, and the broader tape looks more like rotation than panic. So TAO has room to move, but it still needs real confirmation. My read is simple: as long as TAO holds 304 to 305 on pullbacks, the squeeze can keep grinding into 309, 312 and maybe 315 to 316. But if it gets rejected hard and starts losing 304 on 1H closes, then this turns into another range fakeout and 300, 297, 293 and even 288.7 come straight back into play. Lines in the sand are 304 below and 309 to 312 above. Trade the reaction, not the guess.
