Now that you’ve got money, who still wants to play with crypto broke guys?
Securitize, one of the largest tokenization platforms in the crypto industry, didn’t choose to launch its own token—instead, it plans to go public on the U.S. stock market via a SPAC merger. Now, the U.S. stock market has another crypto-themed stock.
Many may not have heard of Securitize, but that doesn’t mean it’s niche.
It’s the RWA tokenization platform under BlackRock—essentially a platform that tokenizes real-world assets, including those on Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain.
Its most well-known RWA assets are BUIDL, a U.S. Treasury token developed in partnership with BlackRock and Wormhole, and the short-term U.S. Treasury fund token launched with VanEck. These two are absolute leaders in the RWA space—but primarily target institutional and accredited investors; retail investors rarely have access.
Securitize’s total value locked in tokenized U.S. Treasuries ranks second only to Circle’s USYC, though it was recently surpassed, with approximately $3 billion in total capital under management.
Moreover, this year Securitize has also announced a partnership with the New York Stock Exchange to develop a platform for stock tokenization—adding limitless potential for its future.
Isn’t it far more comfortable to tap into the endless capital of the U.S. stock market than to struggle in the crypto trenches, issuing tokens and depending on exchange approvals?
