Bitcoin: Strategy raises reserves to 846,842 BTC

A sale of 32 BTC sparked fear. A purchase of 1,587 BTC went almost unnoticed. That is the difference between narrative and reality.

Strategy made another move: $100 million in Bitcoin added to its balance sheet, raising its reserves to 846,842 BTC.

This move comes right after a curious episode: the sale of 32 BTC on June 1, which generated negative headlines and a drop in its stock price.

But here is the data that changes the interpretation: the company raised $209 million in stock sales, increased its liquidity to $1.1 billion, and executed a purchase 50 times larger than the sale that caused panic. Additionally, Strategy has maintained a consistent pattern since 2020:

Buy on weakness. Use equity as leverage. Increase reserves without relying on operating cash flow. This model has been replicated by other public and private companies, especially after the approval of spot ETFs in the U.S., which have reignited institutional demand.

[IMPACT ON THE MARKET]

Retail market remains trapped in micro-events.

Institutional players operate on structural trends: reduction in liquid supply, demand pressure from ETFs, and growing corporate adoption. Strategy’s purchase is not an isolated event: it is a reminder that the dominant narrative remains silent accumulation.

When the market is distracted by noise, major players expand their positions.

The biggest short squeeze in history? $27 billion at risk

The crypto derivatives market is in a state of extreme tension. On-chain data shows a massive accumulation of leveraged short positions, with a potential risk of $27 billion in liquidations if Bitcoin breaks upward. This could trigger a strong short squeeze, generating a cascade of liquidations and pushing the price even higher.

When a large number of traders are positioned short, an upward move can trigger massive liquidations. Rising prices force the closure of those positions, buying Bitcoin on the market and creating a chain reaction that could potentially change the current landscape.

This move could bring significant volatility and a leverage cleanup, allowing the spot market to regain price leadership, while also attracting institutional capital via FOMO if it occurs. Although current sentiment is bearish due to short positions, the liquidity structure makes this scenario highly bullish in the face of any positive signal.

With $27 billion in shorts at risk, do you think the whales will trigger this short squeeze before the end of the month, or will bears maintain pressure? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Day 4 on the LSE complete to round out a historic week! In a week with the 8th largest ever single day Bitcoin drawdown this wasn’t the most significant event of the week. SWC’s uplisting to the LSE on Tuesday will be looked back upon as one of the most important milestones in both thenconpany’s history but also for Bitcoin in the UK. The achievement of @asjwebley and the whole @smarterwebuk team to secure a place on the LSE in a little over 9 months can’t be overstated. The foundations for success are set. Another day of strong volume already shiws the benefits of trading on the main market. 16 places dropped during yesterday’s BTC drawdown and 14 places bounced back by UK close is a further reminder of the volatility that drives the business model. Nobody can predict the BTC price movements in the short term but the thesis remains as strong as ever and I am incredibly excited for the weeks, months and years ahead. Cheers to the weekend all 🍻 Let’s see what the first full week on the LSE brings next week. Onwards 🚀

Today’s crypto markets showed a sharp drop in two high-profile tokens connected to former President Trump and his World Liberty Financial (WLFI) project. According to recent price data, the official Trump meme coin TRUMP and the WLFI token both fell significantly, with WLFI down more than 10% in one day and TRUMP losing even more over the past week and month. These losses come after news broke that U.S. lawmakers have launched a probe into a business deal involving World Liberty Financial before Trump’s inauguration. Why this matters for crypto investors: - Market sentiment matters: Confidence can drop quickly when politics and money mix. - Regulatory risk is real: Investigations or government scrutiny often trigger sell-offs. - Never invest blindly: Big names don’t guarantee stable returns; always research and understand risk before putting money into crypto. This sell-off shows how sensitive crypto markets are to news and regulatory pressure, making it important for investors to stay informed and cautious. #KensonInvestments #CryptoNews #Bitcoin #Altcoins #MemeCoin #TrumpCoin #WLFI #CryptoMarket #CryptoUpdate #CryptoInvesting #Blockchain #Web3 #DeFi #MarketNews #CryptoTrends #DigitalAssets #CryptoCommunity
