ETH whale adds leveraged positions

ETH has been declining for two consecutive days. This might actually be a sign of a buying opportunity. Over the past 24 hours, it has dropped by approximately 2.6%. Just looking at the numbers, it’s natural to feel uneasy. But what matters most is understanding *why* it’s falling. The current decline in ETH is driven by concerns over U.S. interest rate policy and institutional investors temporarily reducing their exposure to risk assets. In other words, people aren’t selling ETH because they dislike it— the entire market has entered a cautious mode. In situations like this, those who invest consistently over the long term are often best positioned to benefit. A “dollar-cost averaging” strategy—buying a fixed amount every month— allows you to purchase more when prices are lower. This is called dollar-cost averaging. (Though it sounds technical, it simply means buying the same dollar amount each month.) I personally never pause my dollar-cost averaging, even during downturns. Instead, I mark these months as “opportunities to buy more.” Statistics show that sticking to your rules calmly and consistently yields better results than reacting out of fear. So, as you see ETH decline— do you feel anxious? Or do you see it as an opportunity? We’d love to hear your thoughts. #ETH #Cryptocurrency #Web3

Was it, in hindsight, a bad decision that MegaETH rushed their launch? As much as the Bitcoin price has started to recover, we still haven’t seen any real movement from most altcoins, with one clear exception: HYPE. But HYPE is running on a totally different runway than most other altcoins. Besides the fact that $Mega can process transactions in 0.0005 seconds and is EVM-compatible, we had Sonic doing something similar before. So the real question is: Was the timing just bad, or did the market simply not care enough yet?

I reminded myself about this wallet on Hyperliquid I’ve been tracking, and today it became active again after one month of inactivity. It had been closing its ETH short position little by little, until today when I saw it starting to close again. If my theory is correct once this position is fully closed, we should see a sustainable run to the upside in crypto. (For more context on why I follow it check my previous post — went active around the same time trump took office in early 2025). Half a year ago it was at 17M, then two months ago it dropped to 8M, and today it’s at 4M, so looks like the bottom is close.

Tom Lee blames oil prices for ETH’s plunge, saying ETH is being crushed by crude oil. Tom Lee’s latest comment: ETH’s sharp decline is due to oil prices—the two exhibit a clear negative correlation, with ETH falling as oil prices rise. In other words, ETH’s weakness isn’t a fundamental issue—it’s due to macro liquidity being siphoned away by rising oil prices. When energy inflation re-emerges, risk assets take the first hit, and ETH, as a high-beta asset, suffers the most. For holders, watching oil prices matters more than watching ETH. As long as the Middle East remains unstable and crude oil doesn’t reverse course, any ETH rebound will be unsupported. If you’re considering buying the dip in ETH, first check whether oil prices have eased.

Interesting: ethereum:0xb2617246d0c6c0087f18703d576831899ca94f01 community, something’s quietly shifting on @ZIGChain. TVL is increasing while most people are stuck watching candles. Meanwhile, smart investors are already rotating into vaults, RWAs, lending, borrowing, and every other yield opportunity popping up across the ecosystem. Alpha: ethereum:0xb2617246d0c6c0087f18703d576831899ca94f01 still looks underpriced for what’s already happening 👀

EPRA has increased electricity tariffs by around KES 4.40 per kWh in May 2026. The increase in electricity tariffs is expected to offset/absorb the higher fuel prices, cover foreign exchange losses and water levies.

$ETH Breaking down after failing to break that $2.4K area. But as it's early in the week it can be good to keep watching closely here. Often you get some retest to try and break back within the structure. If successful, this will likely test 2.4K again I'm assuming. If not, and we see a bearish retest, I'll be expecting <$2K levels again. Likely comes down to what $BTC ends up doing as usual.
