I refuse to call Hyperliquid onchain. It's simply not what we are here for - or at least what I'm here for. It's still a CEX. Yes, it makes our tokens more accessible by not requiring KYC and using blockchain "tech", but if Hyperliquid is the end of it, we all lose, because suddenly all our glorified tokens are ending up on a bunch of servers that can be taken down by one guy in a suit. It's a CEX. A good one, but still a CEX.

Decentralized options infra is such a big unlock for DeFi... @DeriveXYZ seriously looks like the biggest opportunity here since Hyperliquid, with so many positive implications for the whole Ethereum ecosystem. At the same time, @Lighter_xyz might get the regulatory green light for perps in the US soon. This is all downstream of long-term infra investments over the last few years. I still remember all the doubters and haters criticizing the Ethereum ecosystem for being too infra-focused... as it turns out this built the foundation for ZK greatness, and Ethereum is now pulling ahead in all areas. Thank you for doubting Ethereum. Thanks to you, we're now collecting the fruits of having invested in the best possible tech, while everyone else is locked in on a subpar stack. GG WP 😘
