AMD expects faster revenue growth as data center demand strengthens
📈 AMD shares rose more than 8% after hours on November 3 as Q3 results and Q4 guidance exceeded market expectations.
💵 Revenue reached $13.38 billion, up 45% year over year. Adjusted EPS was $2.09, beating the $1.95 forecast.
🏢 Data Center led growth with $8.55 billion in revenue, up 97% and accounting for roughly 64% of total sales. Demand for EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs supported the expansion.
🔭 AMD expects Q4 revenue of about $17 billion, above the $16.23 billion consensus and roughly 27% higher than Q3, signaling expectations for continued demand growth.
⚖️ However, Q4 adjusted gross margin is projected to ease from 56% to 55%. The report supports confidence in AI infrastructure demand, while AMD’s ability to translate revenue growth into profits remains a key focus.
