Bitcoin on-chain analysis.
Reviewing common data through October 31, exchange net outflows are favorable, but signals remain mixed regarding a definitive upward reversal.
Between October 25 and 31, approximately 30,435 BTC flowed net out of exchanges, reversing the prior 7-day net inflow of 3,434 BTC. However, a single-day net outflow of 23,790 BTC on the 29th makes it difficult to conclude this represents sustained accumulation.
During the same period, the average funding rate rose to 0.0075%, up from 0.0061% in the prior 7 days. While long positions continue to pay premiums, this level alone is insufficient to confirm overheating.
Open interest increased by 3.3% from approximately $25.1 billion on October 25 to about $26.0 billion on the 31st. However, the weekly average was roughly 0.2% lower than the prior week, making it unlikely that recent recovery reflects broad futures market expansion.
Supplementally, MVRV declined from 1.56 at the end of September to 1.43 by October 31. While the premium of market value over realized value has diminished, it remains above 1, meaning this indicator alone cannot confirm undervaluation or a market bottom.
Based on current data, I lean neutral rather than bullish. I would assess more positively if net outflows persist and funding rates stabilize; however, if net inflows return alongside rising funding rates and open interest, I will increase risk management exposure.
Exchange flows have shifted to net outflows on a weekly basis. Funding rates are higher than the prior week, and open interest has recovered from recent lows. Combined with the MVRV decline, this suggests we are at a stage to verify signal sustainability rather than confirm direction.
